The Offer

Check your Bank Amerideals for the following offer:

  • Get 5% back on your Airbnb reservation, with a $28 maximum cash back.
  • A number of banks use the same back end for these offers. This includes: Chase, Bank of America, Regions Bank, Suntrust Bank, BBVA, BB&T, PNC, Columbia Bank, Beneficial Bank, and Christian Community CU. You can read this post for more information.

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid one time only
  • Payment for your completed stay must be made by 5/15/19.

Our Verdict

This one just popped up for me today. Airbnb discounts are always welcome, this one even has a decent $28 maximum. Max this out with a $560 stay; it has to be a single transaction for the full amount, according to the terms. Not sure if a gift card purchase would work.

  • Does this 5% stack at Bank of America with Bank of America 3% travel category = 8%?

    • Same - though I booked something at the beginning of August and the offer is gone. I called Chase to resolve so TBD if they owner what was on their website.

  • Also to note, that I got 2 offers for Hyatt Place and Hyatt House, both 15% back up to $45, minimum $100 spending. Payment must be made by Feb 15 2020, one-time and in the US only.

  • It's a pity this deal went on holiday for such a long time when I needed it. Fortunately, I received 5% on the cash app debit for one of my holiday-season stays.

Thought it was permanent before it left for 2 months

  • You can stack Acorns 1.8% cashback on top of this, right? You just have to link the card you intend to use (with this offer) to Acorns

I haven't done this myself, but don't see why it wouldn't work

    • yes, absolutely! I've been getting Airbnb cashback from Acorns for like 2 years now.. almost 100 stays.. and they're still paying cashback. Only thing I don't like about Acorns is that other cashback deals don't seem to post there.. and their customer service isn't very good.

  • FYI, this deal did not work for me. It sat at pending for several days then never posted. BoA doesn't have a chat/email ticket system and it's seriously not worth my time to troubleshoot with them for like $10.

    • They do, I've had issues with other cashback BOA deals and eventually got resolved. It might depends on the hours though, as the screen only popsup furing 9-5 for me (EST)
