[Expired] [KS, NM, NE, WY & CO] Bank Of Colorado $100 Checking Bonus – No Requirements

This bonus has expired, but they have a new bonus for $100 + $100 donation to a local charity.

This looks to be the exact same offer & bank as the $100 Pinnacle bank offering (soft pull & $1,000 credit card funding), I have no idea if you can get both accounts & both bonuses. But might be worth a risk if somebody wants to give it a try? They also service slightly different service areas as well.

Our Verdict

As I said this looks like the exact same bank/bonus as the Pinnacle one, I have no idea if it’s possible to do both – but if it is then I’d recommend people that live in the service area do so. If it is possible, we’ll add it to our list of the best bank bonuses available.

  • Signed up using a Chase IHG card. My cash advance limit was set to $100 so I made a full $1000 initial funding in hopes that it goes through as a purchase. Everything went through so it should work out.

  • Just signed up for both, used Ink for both Pinnacle and BofC, max was 1k CC load each and posted as purchase.

  • Goonyo - If you could and wouldn't mind, let us know if you got a cash advance using the chase freedom and if it was a soft or hard pull.

I wonder if Bank of Colorado is similar to Pinnacle with the same cards not having a cash advance fee.

  • I funded a Pinnacle account back in July with my CSP before they lowered the funding to max of $1,000 and got my bonus a little over 3 months later. Just opened a Bank of Colorado account and $1,000 is pending on my Freedom. Kind of kicking myself now that I didn't try to fund with more. I'll be sure to post back in a few months when/if the bonus posts.

  • I've talked to them. They consider themselves to be sister banks. They have to call in transactions between pinnacle and BOC.

    • Thanks for checking! Did you ask (and did they say) whether they allow credit card loading? Also, do you need to be a resident of the eligible states, or can you get the bonus if you sign up in branch, but live in an ineligible state?

  • It may be the same bank under a different name, but not the same service areas as Pinnacle: "Open to residents of Kansas, New Mexico, Nebraska, Wyoming and Colorado only."
