Our Verdict

Previous best bonus on this card is 70,000 miles, so this is an extra 20,000 miles. The nice thing about Barclays business cards is that they don’t report to your personal credit report, so won’t count towards your 5/24 status. If you have a use for Hawaiian miles then this is a good deal, some popular redemption options include:

  • You can get flights for 35,000 miles round trip with the card from mainland USA to Hawaii, but there isn’t a lot of space available.
  • Intra island flights are 7,500 miles one way
  • They also sell sunglasses (Maui Jim)

Barclays used to request business documents for business card applications, but that no longer seems to be the case. We will add this to the best credit card bonus page. If you have any questions regarding Barclays cards, read this post first. There is also an 80,000 mile bonus on the personal card.

  • I signed up and the app was pending for almost a month. I was elated when I finally received the card BUT then I was confused a few days later when another card showed up with a different number. I logged in and to my dismay I had two new accounts and two $99 fees due. Took a gamble and met the $1000 spend on both. Sadly, only one card got the 50k SUB the first month. Question is: should I contact them about the missing miles on the one card or just wait longer and see if they post (its been 2 billing cycles)?

  • DP:

Applied 01/17/21. Called Recon after getting the message "your application is under review." Asked basic questions about application, including business nature and income source. Said that I was at maximum credit with Barclays, but offered to take credit from existing JetBlue personal card to approve. Third Barclays card, including second Business card, all new in the last four months. Only 1/24 otherwise.

    Thanks DoC!

  • Applied online, quick approval to $9K. Real business, long time in business.
Any recent price points for miles needed for round trip from West Coast?

  • Applied Dec 1. App went pending. Status online showed: Barclays can not offer you a card at this time. A week later received a letter asking to fill out form 4506t(IRS) for income verification. Faxed it over and called next day to follow up, CSR transferred the call to the credit department and was asked about household income, full time job, biz rev, and such. then the guy says: at this time Barclays feels comfortable with the CL you already have (5k Aviator biz, for 3 months) so what I can do is to move some of that to get the new card approved.

  • How long does it take for sign up bonus miles to post?

Opened Hawaiian biz on Oct 27, met spend on Nov 11, statement cut on Nov 19 but no SUB miles. Is this normal or is there an issue?

  • Having a hell of a time getting approved for this and the wyndham biz cards. 0/6 and 4/24 and I keep getting declined for too many inquiries, no proof of address (they have my ssn and DL?!), and no proof of income (I sent a paystub and W2!).

Also this 90k offer is a huge devaluation since MSR is now $6k instead of $1k.

  • The Barclays business card does not include first checked bag free as opposed to the Barclays personal card which does. The first checked bag free is a useful benefit if you fly Hawaiian Air.

  • Only useful for interisland travel. But now with southwest having interisland tickets for $30, not even worth that.

  • Is Hawaiian still a transfer partner to Hilton. Used to transfer at 1 to 2 Hilton points.
