Our Verdict
Previous best offer on this card was 40,000 points. Keep in mind you can now book hotels up to 100 days in advance (previously it was 50 with this card). Points expiration policy is also a bit better than it has been as well. With Choice it’s important to keep in mind most of the properties in North America aren’t great (the one in Rapid City, SD for visting Bad Lands and Mount Rushmore is good value at 8,000 points per night is good value). The real value to be had is in Europe and especially Scandinavia. Free nights start at 6,000 points per night and up to a maximum of 35,000 points per night (except in Australasia where it’s up to 75,000 points) and there isn’t any award chart (prices are flexible and somewhat tied to cash rate).
I’d recommend doing a bit of searching first before applying for this card so you can get a feel for the different types of properties and their pricing. If you have any questions about Barclays and before you apply for this card, I’d strongly recommend you read our post: 25 Things You Should Know About Barclays Credit Cards. It’s also worth remembering that Barclays cards are hard to get approved for. I’m not sure if the 6/24 rule applies to this card or not (update: based on data points in the comments it appears this does not apply). Other Barclay cards also have increased bonuses such as:
- Barclay Arrival+ 60,000 Point Sign Up Bonus Now Live [Annual Fee Now Waived First Year]
- Barclays JetBlue Business Card – 50,000 Point Bonus
- Barclays Business Aviator Bonus Now 60,000 Miles After 1 Purchase [Highest Ever]

Just signed up yesterday and the offer was still active. Thanks for the post, as this is double the usual offer.
I opened up this card 3+ years ago and it is still open. If I want this bonus can I cancel my existing card today and then apply via this link tomorrow? Will I get the 64,000 bonus?
Applied with 6/24 and got a deny :too many cards opened" - had my wife apply with 3/24 and was instantly approved.
Just applied for this card and it says 15 points per $1 at choice hotels.
As a regular member, you already get 10pts/$1. Paying with this card gives you an additional 5pts/$1.
This card’s welcome bonus has expired Doc, please remove it from the “Best current credit card sign up bonuses” page for December whenever you have the time. 👍🏻
Still showing up for me, make sure you scroll down to see the bonus.
Looks like it's now officially dead (right?). I'm just catching up to this now.
Yup :(
Link still working and it shows it the T&C
There's a typo in this post, the card earns "15 points per $1 spent at eligible Choice Privileges locations with your Choice Privileges® Visa® Signature Card and Choice Privileges membership" not "5 points per eligible $1 spent at over 5,500 Choice Privileges locations."
Also approved after initially being denied (over 6/24), got a letter asking for verification documents after being denied on the website, and was approved after 2 weeks after mailing.
Appears the link to this 64k promo is still working (as of 12/4) .... Shows up under fine print within t&c's -- 32k +32k. Any idea if they've formally extended this offer -- and until when? (thanks)
Can you post if and when you receive the SUB points?
DP for 6/24: I was rejected and unsuccessful call to recon was a hard no based on 7/24 cards opened.
I forget which credit report Barclay's checks, but this would be personal cards only and would not be all of the cards I opened.
I got their AA card a few months ago (so I suspect that is not 6/24), and was all excited to be back in their good graces (I pissed them off 5+ years ago, and that was my first successful re-entry). Oh well!
Applied. Denied. Too many accounts past two years, even though I've gotten just 4 cards so far in '18.
Same 6/24 deal applies to it - as in if it gets rejected on that basis then there is no overturning it. Exactly the same situation I had with the Aviator card
Applied at 0/6 and 16/24 and was denied.
Does anyone know what the minimum CL is for this card, or if it needs to be a visa signature? The terms seem to imply that there might be a version for people to whom they might not want to grant another $5k in credit.
