It’s now possible to transfer Avianca LifeMiles to Gol Smiles at a rate of 1:3 (LifeMiles:Smiles). For example if you transfer 1,000 LifeMiles you’ll receive 3,000 Gol Smiles. Points expire after 12 months. Gol is a brazillian carrier and it seems that this is a test and the program may be adjusted based on the beta test. Unfortunately this means not everybody is eligible for this transfer currently. Not familiar with the Gol program enough to comment on whether this is a good deal or not, but looking forward to researching it further.

It seems like the exchange rate will vary, "subject to change due to market conditions". Today the rate is 1 Lifemile : 2.923411 Gol Smiles.
The weakness of the real compared to USD opens up opportunities for big savings on airfare when booking GOL partner awards with miles + money.
where do you see the option to transfer? i couldn't figure out on the website. does that mean i am not targeted for the beta program?
I linked my Lifemiles account to my Gol Smiles account through the Gol website. Afterwards, I got an email notification from Lifemiles informing me that I could transfer miles. The email had a broken link but it pointed towards http://www.lifemiles.com/portability-conversion
could you share where on the Gol website you link Lifemiles? Thanks so much
So can you show me where on the Gol website that allows you link with LM? Also, after you can transfer miles, is it 1:3 ratio (1 LM transfers to 3 GOL)?
Just went down a rabbit hole looking at partner award redemptions. Upgraded Points outlined some really good sweetspots, including Korean Air business class and Etihad apartments https://upgradedpoints.com/travel/airlines/best-ways-to-redeem-gol-smiles-miles/
points transferrable back to LM at end of beta period at rate to be determined later.
Living in Brazil and fly gol a lot. I haven’t checked their rates in a long time, but when I last did, most seemed to be locked to 1cpp. It made local CC’s w/gol and Brazilian transfers pretty meh, but 1:3 could be huge.
