Bose QC45s On Sale For $229

Update 7/12/22: These are now further reduced at $229 (down from the previous low of $279)

The new Bose QC45s are selling now at a reduced price for $229 at various retailers. These headphones launched recently and were selling for $329 initially. (affiliate links below)

Nice deal, useful for holiday gifting. Be sure to select your desired color. The longer holiday return window is available now for most retailers. Use a shopping portal at Best Buy for some extra rewards. Use the Amex Offers at Amazon and at Best Buy to buy these or use Chase Offer for Best Buy. Stack the Amazon deal with Shop With Points deals – for example, if you got the $60 discount shop-with-points offer, the price would drop to just $219.

Looks like this deal might last into January. The older QC35 model is also on sale for $199.

  • @chucksithe FYI, the price on Dell is down to $229, only black is in stock.

After my 5% WI sales-tax was added and my Dell rewards balance was subtracted, if the entire amount gets my 10% Amex offer then I should be left with ~$200.60 to get my Biz Plat $200 credit this month. I am not sure if the tax amount included in the total will count toward the 10% and the $200 or not, but I figured it was worth a shot.

  • The in-ear ones seem to have much better offer - They are @ $179.99! Just ordered 'em from target

  • @chucksithe By the way, for the Bose email signup offer ($20 off $199+), it is not instant or even quick. I chatted online with Bose support & they said it could take a MONTH to arrive!

However, I was able to provide them with my name, email, mailing address (I guess it could be address-limited as well?), phone number & they were able to provide me with a $20 off code.

I contacted them via their SMS option on the Contact Us page (which actually showed up in my iOS messages as verified Bose messages). It took them awhile to provide it, but since it was via text I didn't have to leave a chat window open or accidentally let a session expire.

      • @guest_1286156 The coupon—sorry for not clarifying. I ordered a different set of headphones part of the sale, and they’re scheduled to arrive on Monday. Free 2-day shipping.

  • Wonder if these have the high range noise/ringing. I'm one of those people that can't wear the QC35 for long periods - oddly the ANC of the AKG N60 don't generate it but they also aren't as effective at blocking out noise on planes.

Yet, I struggle wearing "head"phones with over your ear cans, the interfere with neck pillows or falling asleep listening to a book/podcast/music.

I think my happy medium is bone conducting Aeroplex Aftershoxz with earplugs.

That said the best use I have found for my Bose ANC headphones - is blocking out the high pitch drill sound in the dentist chair - the sound alone triggers my pain sensors.

    • If you’re active or a veteran, they are $259 on the AAFES exchange website. QC 35s are $149 on the navy exchange site. @guest_1283577

    • Honestly, I have 3 pairs and plan on getting more. Hate switching between computer/cell phone and moving from work/home. Same with working out - one for running, one for gym, one for travel. Easier to leave them in designated spots and charge

      • I have multiple pairs as well - but the most seamless switching has been with Aeroplex Aftershoxz I can be streaming Netflix on my FireTV and if I get a phone call it automatically supersedes the TV and I can answer the phone call and when I end the call it resumes Netflix audio.

Not everyone loves the open ear style- but it helps with communication with P2 and WFH.
