Our Verdict
This deal comes around a couple of times per year. The savings codes function exactly like Best Buy gift cards, other than the fact that these savings codes do expire, as noted in the fine print. This will code as cashstar not best buy, so won’t trigger the amex offer.

how come when I went to sue them once at the cashier in best buy did the cashier tell me one of my promotional codes does not work? is it because I already used a bunch of them in one receipt that the system refused to accept another one? can I go back now to the store and try to use that one promotional code that did not work or will It be invalidated as the code expired long ago
mr paul, with all due respect that was very rude, i dont like how you said 'I went to sue them once at the cashier' i worked many years as a cashier and did not appreciate all the angry customers letting out their frustration of best buys algorithms on the cashier

Doubtful. On Amex the pending charge shows as BESTBUY CASHSTAR EGIFT but the expanded details are all Cashstar

keep getting the error that they cannot process my credit card information!
none of my orders goes through too. No go with CC or Paypal
So annoying that I got a pending charge from PayPal although the order did not go through!
same here. tried 3 transactions ( 2 on mobile and 1 on desktop ) using 3 different cards. all of them were declined at the best buy though I could see temp auth on the bank site. Anyone bought this successfully ?
I tried credit cards, and visa gift cards. Pretty annoying. Failed with message:

I was able to do this, got a cancellation and fraud alert text from Amex the first time i tried buying, but once i confirmed i was trying to make this charge, the purchase was approved when i rebought.
Every one of these promotions it seems like they are pushing the valid period of the promo codes further into the future.
