Lots of people were noticing that Capital One had been mistakenly issuing more than one $200 vacation credit on the Venture X card. Yesterday and today people are getting notification from Capital One that this was in error and the extra $200 credits are being reversed. (The $200 vacation credit is no longer available for new card signups; it was a launch offer.)

Just found a $200 vacation credit posted on March 30 to my Venture One. I had opened a Venture X in December 2021 with the vacation credit offer, and had to fight then for the credit back in early 2022. I downgradeded to a Venture One in October 2022.
So it sounds like I shouldn't get my hopes up that I'll get to keep this?
I cancelled my venture x a few days before AF in Jan of '23. my priority pass renewed and is valid til Jan '24, just used it in 3 lounges 2 days ago...any chance they would somehow charge me for the visits since my card is closed? any DP?

Meanwhile I never got mine and they told me to wait 2-3 cycles. But my AF is gonna hit next cycle so idk if I should just cancel this.

I haven't received my original and only credit after 3 billing cycles of my Airbnb charge posted.
The same happened with the last portion (~$50) of my vacation rental credit and it was also on an Airbnb charge. Contact CapOne's customer service and they'll open a case to manually review it. (Having the amount expected, if not all $200 in a single charge, seemed to help).
It took two calls and a manual review by a back office department before the reimbursement posted as PURCHASE ADJUSTMENT.
They're somewhat aware of the situation it seems.
Will PURCHASE ADJUSTMENT be included in form 1099 at year end? I know the $300 travel credit will be.
I am running into the exact same issue. I already called CapitalOne once but they told me to wait 3 billing cycles before calling back. How long did you wait before calling them the second time? Thanks.
Yeah I called several times and had to be reviewed by a supervisor. It looks like it will finally post as I got an email today with a note that it will credit and the credit will appear in 3 days.
I hope that no one is surprised by this.

Agreed, but shows that they can do clawbacks so for those that booked airbnb/canceled flights after getting credits is there a clawback coming?
