Capital One Rebranding SavorOne Cash Rewards Card To Savor Cash Rewards Card

Capital One is rebranding the SavorOne Cash Rewards Card to Capital One Savor Cash Rewards. This is particularly confusing as Capital One used to offer another card called Capital One Savor Cash Rewards and this legacy card earns 4% on dining. The rebranded SavorOne Cash Rewards Card (now called Savor Cash Rewards Card) will continue to offer no annual fee, 3% on dining and has a limited time $250 sign up bonus.

By trying to simplify the card line up Capital One has actually made things even more confusing.

  • If the SavorOne I had in previous years has been closed for a while now, will I get the $200 bonus with this rebranded Savor if I apply? Will the new Savor count as a different card?

  • Does anyone know if I would be eligible for the SUB if I applied for a new Savor under the circumstance that I already have an existing SavorOne? The image still shows the old card name when I log in. I went through the Pre-Approval process and it highlighted the Savor $250 limited time SUB as the ideal card I should apply for. Just want to check before following through.

  • Does anyone understand the deal with Walmart that now offers 5% off on the Walmart one card. My understanding is when capital one sends a silver card. The other cards are null.

  • Excellent credit but got this on preapproval. Only had now closed Walmart cards with them. New Card Member Offer
You’ll earn the usual Savor grocery store, dining and entertainment rewards, but won’t be eligible for new cardmember bonus cash or 0% intro APR

    • Capital One's version of pop-up jail... at least they are telling you that before hitting you with the triple pull. I think there is yet another risk on all the dual-path Good/Excellent credit cards like the Savor that you can be approved but then they will only give some lesser version of the headline SUB. Hopefully that scenario is also spelled out in pre-approval now!

  • What's the likelihood of Capital One matching sign up bonus? I was approved for the SavorOne card with $200 bonus last week. Now it is the Savor card rebrand with $250 sign up bonus. This is frustrating.

  • The $250 is a little tempting, I kind of want to wait and see what new cards they come out with though since there was that rumor, should be hearing about them anytime now I'd think.
