Our Verdict

Never heard of the Spark Cash Plus, looks the same as the Spark Cash but it has a $150 annual fee. Earlier in the year we’ve seen a $2,000 bonus, I’d recommend waiting for that to return. We won’t be adding this to the best credit card bonuses

  • $1200 SUB is back for this card. Different structure though. Just straight $1200 back after $30k spend.

  • Are cap1 bonuses churnable? Debating whether I should close my spark account that I did the 2k bonus for a couple years back or downgrade it.

  • Is it fine to do 50k in MS these days? I thought there were new rules introduced in the last year for more bank reporting or something?

  • Cap1 will only approve those who have sub-par credit score. Don't you want my money, Cap1?????

    • I got approved for Venture recently with almost 800 score 👀 was quite surprised. I also had just cancelled my Savor so not sure if that's related.

          • For Cap1, you'll always get denied like me if you have too many accounts. I currently have 120+ active revolving accounts on my CR.

          • Lol as someone who claims they are a professional MS’er I’d wager that you aren’t anywhere close.

          • "have 120+ active revolving accounts"
Wow, you really are a professional MSer.
@guest_1206301 You can only have X cap1 cards. It's on the app page. You can also prequal. It'll tell you if you have too many w them.

          • I heard about this but didn't really think about it, and as I had just cancelled one card the timing worked out so I didn't hit this limit. I thought the main rule is that they approve haphazardly with no rhythm or rhyme though 😅

  • Can't get approved for any capital one credit cards even the ones with targeted codes they email to me that I feel like they're just baiting.

  • The spark cash (without the plus) is actually worth doing, if you are running out of decent business cards to get. No annual fee, $600 back on $5000 spend, and word on the street is it doesnt report to personba credit bureaus.

    • THEY DO STILL REPORT. Idk where all this speculation that they don't came from but they sent me a letter in May of this year CONFIRMING they still do report to personal.

      • T&C:
Will This Card Be Reflected On My Personal Credit Report?
Late payments, missed payments or other defaults on your account may be reflected on your personal credit report.

Will This Card Be Reflected On My Business Credit Report?
Several items may be reflected on your business credit report. Items may include but are not limited to statement balance, late payments, missed payments or other defaults.

      • Good to know... and @cameron they only show a $500 back on $4500 at the moment... still not terrible if you're in Pop Up Hell + 5/24.

        • Here is Capital Ones’ official statement coming from a capital One spokesperson “ Our portfolio of small business credit cards report to both personal and business credit reporting bureaus. For new Spark Cash customers starting 10/20, Capital One will no longer report to personal credit bureaus as long as an account remains in good standing”

    • Thanks for the tip, friend. I just exhausted our US Bank CashBack biz cards so this is perfect.

      • Yep same here. I normally skip capital one but we already did us bank and several others.
