Our Verdict
This will work with free night certificates and the 10% rebate on the old Chase IHG card. Doesn’t stack with the fourth night free benefit unfortunately.

It works in Orlando, makes for some good deals, I’m platinum elite.
Does this promo change the booking conditions? I had a normal points reservation in Australia in May, which was cancellable 1 night before. I cancelled and rebooked under the promo - and just found out the new reservation is no longer cancellable
How does this work with the free night certs if points aren't used?
You can use your free night as part of a multi-night stay and you still get the 15% off the remaining nights.

Which elite statuses?
Aren't most if not all cardholders elites due a card benefit?
I still have the old $49 AF IHG credit card, and it gives me Platinum status, as does the newer Premier card as well as the newer IHG Business card, and even the newer no-AF Travel card gives Silver status.
Looks like it doesn’t work at all locations
I had a points booking on June 10th oddly enough so this worked perfectly. I texted customer service and they were able to rebook it for me resulting in a points refund.
Yes! Rebooked two of my stays! Saved a lot of points!
