Cardless has partnered with Avianca to launch two new credit cards. If you join the waitlist now you’ll get up to an additional 10,000 miles when the card launches. The two new cards will run on the American Express payment network and have annual fees of $99 and $249. In my opinion it’s always worth joining the waitlist as you never know what the launch offers will be, although the new Qatar cards are underwhelming.

I found the incomplete listing for one of the cards on the cardless website, it's mostly placeholder text but shows welcome offer of 40K after $3K spend and $95 annual fee. Q&A section seems to indicate that the card will upgrade you to Silver status with Avianca as well a 10% discount on some cash purchases. Good find. Do you plan to apply? If yes, how will you use the LMs?
Anyone want to take a guess on sign up bonuses for the $99 and $249 AF CCs?
I say 50,000 LM after $3K spend for the $99 AF and 75,000 LM after $5K for the $249 AF CC.
Those might be overly generous considering the Qatar Airways CCs.
Do you plan to apply for the new cards? If yes, how will you use the LMs?
No, not planning on applying for either LM card.
Hi Grant, You were pretty close on your first guess of 50k LM vs. 40k LM in the leak. Do you plan to apply?
No, I have 90K LM currently in my account (from a cancelled award ticket), so I do not need any more right now. Let's see what the premium LM CC bonus looks like :)
I have some LM in the bank that I have not used in over 1 year mainly because of low redemption availability and their high fees for cancelations and rebanking their LM currency. This 40K + bonus does not really move the needle at this point.
Agreed, I had to pay the $200 cancellation fee recently and that really sucked.
Hey Grant, I would guess the same on the SUBs. How do you normally like to use Lifemiles? Partner availability on United seems to get scarcer with time.
The last 2 Avianca LifeMile bookings I did I had to cancel (and pay the $200 cancellation fee each time). Not the best airlines, but I had a booking with Ethiopian Airways and Air India.
thanks for the heads up!
Is Cardless still having a one card per user rule?
That sounds annoying. Gonna stay card less with cardless...
yes
