Our Verdict

Unfortunately the sign up bonus isn’t that attractive given the offers we have seen from Chase on the other Avios earning cards. The cards and benefits are also extremely lacking given the high annual fees. Cardless only lets you hold one Cardless card at a time as well, so that is something to consider. I could see some people signing up for the $99 annual fee if they have a need for Avios and have already done better earning bonuses but by no means a great offer. It might be worth waiting to see if the Avianca card is any better before signing up as well.

  • Just applied after being on the wiatlist for the extra bonus. Denied for one of "several reasons", but no clarification on which one. No request for more info and cannto find a reconsideration phone#. Qsities are best flying experience out of Altanta to the Middle East. Any suggestions?

  • Anyone received their physical card? It's been 10 days since I was approved and no sign of it, virtual card declined everywhere

  • DP 790 credit score, 3/24, 40k, got the request for manual review which I presume is a decline. Ah well, $499 don’t have to eat, but I was planning on taking it for the Oneworld benefit which includes lounge use.

  • Need to adjust the "Our Verdict"
It's a limit of one card EVER. Lifetime limit.

  • The infinite card gives privilege gold not silver.

$500 annual fee with no sort of priority pass or flight credits seems pretty awful. Weak sign up bonus as well. Should have been closer to 80k at least.

    • ... and it appears that the status bump is only for the first year.

OW Sapphire for $500 is not a terrible deal depending on your use cases, but I agree that only getting it for a year seems really lame.

        • The tricky thing, at least based on my reading, is that you need a minimum of 4 segments operated by QR in order to requalify.

That's the deal breaker for me. SEA-DOH is a 14 hour flight and so I have little desire to fly all the way out there every year just to qualify for status. If it was just MS I'd be all over it.
