The Fine Print

  • Promotion begins on 10/1/2020 and ends on 10/13/2020, but is only available while supplies last.
  • Promotion participants may purchase a discounted gift card for $1 during one of the three phases of the promotion, while supplies last.
  • Phase 1 – 1,500 $10 gift cards, Phase 2 – 5,000 $7 gift cards, Phase 3 – 9,000 $5 gift cards (“Offer Items”).
  • Once the entire quantity of Offer Items is purchased in a particular phase, that phase will close and the Offer Item in the next phase will be made for purchase at the scheduled time, until all Offer Items are purchased or phase has ended.
  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older and a legal resident of one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia to purchase a discounted gift card.
  • Visit primeribventure.com and follow the instructions to register for the Offer and provide credit card information to participate in the promotion.
  • “PL Prime Rib” will appear on the participant’s credit card statement.
  • No more than the specified number of Offer Items will be available for purchase.
  • There is a limit of 1 Offer Item per person per Offer phase.

Our Verdict

Looks like this was originally $10 for $1 and will become $5 for $1 at some stage as well. You can do it once per tier (e.g do this $7 offer and then the $5 offer). I’ll try to repost when it’s $5 as well.

  • P2 & I got the $5 cards today... sent certified mail, so the mailman had to hand them to me. That is silly.

  • I and 2 other people in my household were able to get the $5 gift cards for $1 each deal. There is a Carl’s right across the street from me. Good deal. Used real cell phone numbers. P2 may even really want to try that Prime Rib.

  • just got my $7 card today - they sent by certified mail lol

    Appears to be regular gift card, but I've never used one there before.

  • Tried submitting with my Google Voice (VoIP) number and got shown an error message that "THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH YOUR ACCOUNT". Make sure to use a regular number!

  • Thank you for the tip. I was successful in getting a $5 gift card, and I paid for it using my PayPal key card number. This way it might also qualify for the 5% cashback Chase Freedom.

  • Rounds 1 ($10 gift card, as Will noted) and 2 ($7 gift card) of the promo both ended early. Round 3 is scheduled to begin: October 8, 2020 at 12:00 PM ET.

    • Just to clarify, 12 noon ET on Oct. 8th is the correct time?

      (Sorry for asking but some people type it wrong from time to time. Just want to make sure it isn’t midnight)
