CFPB No Longer Forwarding Complaints To Financial Institutions

CFPB was recently ordered to shut down and employees were told to do no work. Some people seemed to think that the CFPB complaints process would remain unchanged and continue to operate. It appears this is no longer the case and complaints are no longer being forwarded to financial institutions.

I have to say this is probably the least surprising thing ever. Please try to keep comments on topic an defer from attacking each other/name calling in the comments. I suspect comments will need to be closed eventually but I’ll keep them open for now.

Comments have now been closed as I believe the discussion has run it’s course.

  • Iay have to file a complaint against Citi for closing and withholding not only a bonus but my account balance $6600. What's the strategy now BBB, state attorney general, news media?

  • So now we need to be careful on what kind of rewards to earn. The strategy is to earn and burn quickly.

  • Mission accomplished. CFPB has been transformed from a thorn in the side of every right-thinking banker to a valuable decoy. It will make a fine sink for consumer complaints.

Bankers, don't forget to reserve part of those big Xmas bonuses for campaign contributions to your favorite politicians.

  • Yeah but I heard on Joe Rogan that at least we don't have to deal with tampon Tim, who misstated by a few weeks when he was in China 40 years ago. We wouldn't want an abject liar in charge.

  • Wow an organization that's actually helpful getting shut down?! Who would've thought.... (hope those of you who made this possible are happy)
