[Expired] Chase $350 Checking + Savings Bonus [In-Branch Only]

Deal has expired, view more bank account bonuses by clicking here

Nota bene: this offer is inferior to the up to $500 bonus coupon that we’ve written up here. I’m posting it anyway, for a few reasons: (a) it’s a bonus; (b) as long as you request a coupon now, it won’t expire until October 16, 2017 – instead of August 7, 2017 for the up to $500 bonus; (c) the requirements for the $150 savings bonus are lower than for the $200 bonus. As a result of (c), if you can float a $10,000 deposit for 90+ days (but not a $15,000 deposit), you can combine the $150 savings bonus from this coupon with the $300 Total Checking bonus and net $450.

Note additionally that the $300 Chase Premier Plus Checking bonus is back until October 16, 2017 as well, which is an extra $100 compared to this offer – if you can swing the requirements. Chuck will likely have his post on the subject refreshed soon.

Our Verdict

Clearly, it’s not as good as the $500 Checking + Savings bonus, which isn’t usually publicly available. It is possible to combine the Savings coupon from this offer with the Total Checking coupon from the $500 offer, but you’re better off floating the extra $5,000 for the extra $50. If for some reason you can’t do the $500 Checking + Savings bonus by August 7, 2017, this offer will still be available – but do be aware that coupon links sometimes run out, and it’s a good idea to get the coupon now if you’re considering this deal. (Likewise, though, the $300 Premier Plus Checking bonus will still be available and you’d want to strongly consider doing that if you were doing this Savings bonus.)

If you’d like a step-by-step guide to getting this bonus, check out the Our Verdict section of Chuck’s post about the $500 Checking + Savings bonus.

Normally, the smart bet would be to wait for another $500 Checking + Savings bonus, instead of burning your eligibility on this bonus. However, it would make sense to use this offer given the following:

  • The $500 Checking + Savings bonus has expired, leaving at most 4.75 months in the calendar year; AND
  • You can’t swing the requirements to keep the Premier Plus Checking account fee-free; AND
  • You haven’t received a Chase bonus during the current calendar year; AND
  • There is enough time to left in the calendar year to get the bonus this calendar year (so that you aren’t locked out of bonuses in the next calendar year).

If all of those conditions are true for you, your options are (a) get up to $350, or (b) get nothing. I’d recommend (a)!

Chase bank bonuses are some of the best bank bonuses around. With no minimum on the direct deposit requirement and an easy way to keep the account(s) fee-free, the bonuses are a nice chunk of change. If you’ve never completed a bank bonus before and the above bulleted list holds true for you, this bonus can be a good one to start with.

Don’t forget to check your Chase preapproved credit card offers while visiting a Chase branch; you might get lucky and end up with a Sapphire Reserve or an Ink Preferred pre-approval!
