Chase Adds Signup Bonus Tracking Information on Credit Cards (See How Much Spend Remains)

[Update 6/1/20: For bonuses that have two tiers, the tracker now tracks both tiers of the bonus. Hat tip to roygbiv92]

Chase has now added a signup bonus tracker to clarify how much spend remains until you meet the requirement for the bonus, as well as the date by which you need to complete the spend. R/churning members are seeing this in the Chase app, and readers note that it shows in the Chase online login too, both on personal cards and business cards. (Go to the points portal > Rewards Activity to see the tracker online; as for the app, you should see it when clicking on the card.)

The tracker is useful to learn the following information:

  • Confirming you have a signup bonus attached to your account.
  • Confirms signup bonus spend requirement.
  • Tracks your spending progress towards the minimum spend requirement.
  • Clarifies the date you need to finish your spend.

Awesome! American Express also recently added a signup bonus tracker; Citi and Wells Fargo have one as well. I love transparency. Chase already offers an online tracker to show how much you’ve used in your annual limits for things like the 5x Office Supply category on INK, as well as the Freedom 5% categories.

[Update 4/12/19: Readers noted the new tracker has gone missing for a few days, but it’s now back again. ht r/churning]

  • I've seen this on my Chase Ink cards on various accounts. Still can't see the progress bar on the Southwest Personal card. Different login from the biz cards though.

  • While logged on to the Chase website, I don’t see a tracker on the Rewards Activity page. Is that where the tracker should be?

      • It's weird that some people are able to see it and some aren't. It's like this bonus tracker is targeted or YMMV. I hope Chase fixes this soon.

        • Somewhere deep in the bowels of Chase, one programmer says to another, "I never imagined our customers would actually talk to each other and notice if we give some of them a feature way before we get around to giving it to the rest of them!"

  • Where do you find the citi tracker? I’ve never seen one since their Hilton cards moved to amex.

    • I meant, when I log into Ultimate Rewards, I don't see what's remaining for the bonus. Where am I supposed to see it? Thanks.

  • I did the MDD for the CSR and CSP back in March. The tracker shows on the CSR, but not on the CSP. I was sweating it for a bit that I wouldn't get the CSP bonus, but I see now that the 50K will be posted on my next statement.
