Chase has added the following term to some referral links:
You are not eligible for a referral bonus if you use your own referral URL to apply for a different card.
This seems to be showing on most cards, although not on the Chase Ink Preferred currently. Previously you’ve been able to refer yourself without an issue. Last year American Express decided that rather than updating terms to retroactively claw back points for self referrals. I’m not sure when the new language was added to Chase referral terms, but I wouldn’t risk trying to self refer any longer.

Is referring myself on the ink preferred a bad idea? (one biz to another)

Is Referring myself on the chase ink business preferred a bad idea? (One biz to another)

Have they changed the wording on the SWA referral link for the 75,000 point bonus that expires next week?
DP: Self-referred from Chase Biz Perf in the end of January, already got the personal card and completed SUB req's. No bonus points pending on the biz card side, at this point I'll be happy if Chase just ignores this self-referral and does nothing about it.
update?
If you generated a link before 2/2 you may not see it but they still may not give you the 10k SW points. I’ve seen some DPs of it not posting lately. Just use a friend or family members or someone from the site to get the 10k. Why risk a 10k self referral
Is there a good place to find internet strangers to trade referrals with?
https://churning.rankt.com/referrals/ and https://www.reddit.com/r/churningreferrals/
Hmm well I guess I'll be a DP -- just self-referred to the 75k SW card a few days ago
so no more self biz referrals using SSN for card 1 and EIN for card 2?
All the more reason for churners to be Mormon. You don't have to stop at P2, you can have P3, P4, P5, etc. There's a diminishing return in there somewhere, though.
I self referred from CIC to CIU 2 weeks ago and I haven't gotten the bonus yet. I'll share with you how it goes.
Please do, was one with SSN and next with EIN?
I would also like to know
Has Chase ever been that heavy-handed like AMEX? The Chase shutdowns from the past year appeared to be a result of churning activity that resembled bustout fraud -- a criminal activity--so I can see why Chase shutdown without warning. But AMEX's shutdowns were in response to gaming the system. It's not on the same level as bustout fraud, yet their response seemed disproportionate with the "crime".
The churning community has seen explosive growth, and businesses are slow to adapt. I wouldn't rule out seeing most issuers taking a stronger stance on gaming, once the numbers about how easy to detect and simultaneously unprofitable and numerous we are percolate to upper management.
No, Chase usually isn't like that
I come here to complain and call it a devaluation, because that's what you do
Thanks for the laugh this morning :)
