Our Verdict

The current signup bonus offer is up to $275 which requires $2,500 spend to max out the bonus. Personally I’d go for the upcoming $200 offer which is instant and does not require any spend.

  • I signed up for 99 cents one week Student Prime trial and was able to get the $200 bonus immediately after.

    • It's there you just have to look for it, scroll up to "The Offer" there are two links beneath it, you want the newer Direct Link. Or you can just CTRL F and type Direct Link and you'll find it.

I hope this help, I just applied and was surprised I was approved but with a paltry $500 CL. I think I'm around 5/24 give or take, I'll take it.

  • I pre-qualified for this, and then when I signed up, I was denied due to being truthful about my current income level. I called reconsideration immediately as I was hoping to get this for Prime Day - was told I had too much outstanding credit with Chase for my income level. I'd agree with that as I'm using the 0% Ink cards and paying off over time. In the midst of calling, I got disconnected and just decided to bag it, but then - there was an email I was approved with a 5k CL and $200 on my Amazon gift card account. Lesson learned - call reconsideration - thank you DOC for the education!

    • P.S. You can add this card instantly to your Amazon account via the approval email, no need to ask for an expedited physical card.

  • Never had an Amazon Prime card. Do not have Amazon Prime. Changes to $50 when I log in. Customer service asked me to email a screenshot of the original offer a couple of days ago and did not get back to me. Just going to wait until November when they're desperate for holiday shoppers.
