Chase In-Branch Offers: INK Plus 70k + Annual-Fee-Waived and INK Cash $300 Signup Bonuses

Chase In-Branch Offers

In honor of Small Business Week, Chase has special signup bonus offers on the INK Plus card and the INK Cash card.

  • These offers are available in-branch only
  • Offers are valid until May 15, 2016

These offers were spotted in a Chase branch by Reddit member allday8 and others.

INK Plus Offer

  • Get a bonus of 70,000 Ultimate Rewards points after spending $5,000 within three months of card approval
  • Per Flyertalk, this offer comes with the annual fee waived for the first year

The online bonus offer f0r this card is 60,000 points and has an annual fee of $95 the first year. This offer will save you $95 the first year, and will get you an extra 10,000 points.

INK Cash Offer

  • Get a bonus of $300 (30,000 Ultimate Rewards points) after spending $3,000 within three months of card approval

The online bonus offer for this card is $200 (20k points); this in-branch promo nets you an extra 10k. Neither card has any annual fee at all.

5/24

We’ve seen numerous – very recent – reports of getting approved for co-brands and it thus appears that 5/24 is not yet in effect on those cards. Hopefully, it’s not in effect on business cards either, as was the case a few weeks ago, see Is 5/24 In-Effect Yet on INK and Co-brands?.

Historically, there seems to be better approval odds for in-branch applications since you’re sometimes preapproved for the card when they check out your account, so that’s another reason this in-branch offer may work for you.

Final Thoughts

Both of these offers are excellent. The INK Plus with a 70k bonus + annual fee waived the first year is especially awesome. It’s inconvenient to apply in-branch but well worth it if you have a branch nearby.

Another option would be to just apply for the regular 60k offer online and try to get Chase to match the 70k offer. This way, you can have the convenience of doing it online and even netting 10k points for a friend by using their refer-a-friend link. The in-branch offer is still better, even factoring in the referral bonus, but some may opt for the speed and convenience of an online application.

  • I went into my local Chase branch today to open up a business account, and was surprised to find the 70,000 UR bonus + 1st AF waived offered by my banker. Applied on the spot, awaiting decision.

  • I got below letter
Please send proof of following within 30 days
    Name of your company
    Verification of tax identification number
Proof of current business physical address
If you're sending documents to confirm your physical address we need actual location where you live.
I am planning to send the EIN letter from IRS and state registration letter. Do these 2 docs are enough?

  • Datapoint, used my referral link to wife for 10K, applied and approved even though she has 6 cards over the past 2 years.

SMed for 10K to match branch. Done
SMed for waiver of fee. Done (had to do it 4 times as rep always talks about 10K vs fee etc).

Waiver made on my account already. Just waiting on the spend and the referral bonus.

All in, its 80K UR + no first year fee

  • I already have the chase ink plus card that I applied using my EIN can I apply for this using SSN and would I still qualify for bonus?

    • If you have two businesses, you can apply for each one separately - one with EIN and one with SSN - and get the bonus for each one.

      • ok so this is different with amex because I know with amex every card is linked to a ssn and even if i use a different ein because i have the same ssn it won't count

  • Also, I went to my local branch today and ask about this offer. The bankers has no idea about it. They only offer 60k UR points for ink plus but DO waive the annual fee for 1st year. So I guess this offer is limited to participated branches only.

    • Interesting, thanks. Still better due to the annual fee waiver. Anyway, you can get 70k matched via SM, so 60k with no fee is also good.

  • 1 Month ago, I got added as an AU to my wife's 10+ year old Bank of America card. Will Chase count that as 10+ years or will they count it as 1 month and included in Chase's 5/24 rule?

  • Are you able to go to the branch for the 70k offer AND have them input the referral link to net the other 10k referral bonus for your friend's account?

    • I actually think I've heard that this is possible. No guarantees.
Forgot about that when I wrote the post. Good point.

  • Dave, what is this, kindly explain "SW is most important band with 5x on discounted gas GC, I’m always stocked up."

  • Ink Plus is my workhorse. SW is most important band with 5x on discounted gas GC, I'm always stocked up. Get this first if you're scared of 5/24.
