Our Verdict
We saw the $750 offer before with a lower $20,000 deposit requirement. The high interest environment we’re in makes the deal less enticing since the money won’t be earning any interest while in the Chase account.
The funds might only need to sit in the Chase business checking account for 31 days (day 31 – day 60) or possibly it needs a full 60 days. In the end, you’re likely to end up losing $100-$250 in interest (assuming a 4-5% interest rate in high yield savings account). Some people might prefer doing the lower $300 tier with just $2,000 required.
When I tried doing this some months ago, there was something about my business type not being eligible for online opening and I decided against going in branch. The offer now is worse with the higher deposit requirement so I’m going to give this one a miss. Still could be a decent deal for someone interested.
Unfortunately you’re not eligible for this bonus if you’ve received a Chase business checking bonus within the last two years, so it won’t work for everyone. There used to be a clause that you had to keep the account for 6 months before closing, but I think (?) Chase has removed that now from all of their bonuses.

So many people questioning the meaning of "for 60 days from enrollment." Did anyone draw the money after Day 60 from enrollment and lose out on bonus as result? Such a waste for cash to sit in this non-interest bearing account unnecessarily.
Me. So far. I am fighting. Everyone at Chase says the $30k must be in the account for 60 days and they don’t read the rest (from offer enrollment). I finally made an in-branch appointment and the banker had to admit I was right. His manager escalated and I got a call today from a person who would not admit what the offer actually says. Then she told me the offer is different for the $2k than for the $30k. That’s when I hung up and called the banker. He is on my side but has no power to fix it. I am hoping to see other people say they have won.
After I opened the account I messaged CS asking whether the promo was attached. They confirmed that it was, and also in their reply they included timeline for the promo based on my account opening date, in that timeline, the maintenance period was till 60 days from the account opening date.
Thank you for the info (it's not right!).
I won't risk it then.
It is interesting though, because someone in the comments did say the bonus came before 60 days.
Was able to open Sole Proprietorship using the workaround mentioned (don't log-in, then log-in) - then they froze my account after I tried to fund
How long did the appointment take if you went in branch?
That usually depends on the banker...
Just a heads up that if you deposit checks into this new account they seem to put it on hold for an extended period (7+ days) even if the check clears at the issuing bank, the next day. The funds will be under present balance but not available.
Not sure if the account bonus is calculated on "Available balance" or "Present balance"
You are getting credit for the deposit on the date of deposit on the statement. The hold does not affect the bonus. @guest_1958801
Thanks, that is good to know but still a bit disconcerting that they put such a long hold.
You have to maintain the balance anyway, so I don't see it as a big deal. @guest_1958886
Yeah, with the current interest rate environment and the market, it makes less sense to tie the money to a bank.
Floating $30K for 30-40 days with this offer is $600 more than a current savings account offers.
Was able to open a the chase biz account online on a new account login and password separate from personal account and cards login. I went ahead and tried to add my Truist biz checking account. Got rejected giving them the username & pass for Truist so I did it manually. I just verified the transactions this morning to add the account and put in for a small transfer ACH pull from Truist. Chase Fraud Dept called me sounding like scammers with heavy indian accent but they did say the correct transfer dollar amount so I proceeded to verify my identity. After verifying, they told me the transfer was rejected and to do an ACH push from the Truist account and to call some other department if I have a problem with it! Wowww great start...now I'm worried if I transfer in 30k, I won't be able to transfer out....
Chase is one of the sensitive banks for transfers initiated on their end which is why chase isn't a good hub. I would not do transfers right away after account opening. It's better to push/pull from a hub account instead of using new accounts
Why am I getting this,
"We can't open an account for you based on the information you told us. Please visit a Chase branch for help. Please refer to our branch locator
Opens new window
to find availability info about Chase branches near you."
Literally just logged in and pushed continue then this popped up.
My p2 gets this error as well. Legit LLC. They have no issue giving out two Ink cards, and have sent her numerous mailers to open the checking account.
I guess we'll have to go in branch. Ugh.
Thanks for the info on your end.
I’ve always had to go in branch as well and think we’re in the same state. Maybe it has to do with proximity to branch.
Analyzing DPs from the recent INK slowdown turned up a small positive correlation between having a business deposit account and getting approved.
The 60 days with a $30k balance might be an auspicious time for a new INK app.
Yep, it should help with the underwriting. Previously had a chase ink cash card and opened the business account and deposited my $30K and 2 weeks later, decided to open my 2nd ink card and was after application went to pending for a few hours before being approved.
I have many ink cards, but I've never done a business checking account before. Is there anything special I need to do to ensure approval considering my long history with Chase and their business cards?
Nope, apply the same way. The only difference is, chase is likely gonna call you or need you to call them to explain your business for the biz checking. Otherwise, they will close your account (at least for the 1st one)
can i do the personal checking and savings 900 dollar bonus and then sign up for the business bonus to earn 750?
Yes you can do both. You can even do both at the same time if you want.
