Chase has an interesting offer where you could get $1,000 back when you spend $3,000 or more with Kwiat. Multiple readers have reported receiving a secured messaged titled ‘Notification of changes to the terms and conditions of your Kwiat offer’ that contains the following update (emphasis ours):
Offer valid one time only. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. Offer expires 9/30/2020. Payment must be made directly with the merchant. May not be combined with other promotions or discounts. Not applicable towards prior purchases. Abuse of offers may result in the exclusion from future offers.
Not surprising given we are talking about $1,000 back here. Chase has always been less clawback heavy than American Express, but this seems like an entirely justified clawback if people are intentionally making purchases only to return items to trigger the offer.

I have this offer again. $1000 back from $3000 spend. Has anyone done this deal? Did you keep the jewelry or sell it?
You can always resell.
Additional news just in:
"Chase Bank expects customers to make payment(s) to them after using Chase Bank credit card(s) to make purchases."
- Note: This major development should merit it's own post.
The audacity of you people lol.
I did the Motley Fool offer a while back but ended up canceling and getting a refund (it was just garbage emails to me). Still wondering if they will screw up and give me the UR anyway.
I also got this for 11 Honoree:
"Notification of changes to the terms and conditions of your 11 Honoré offer.
The below includes the updated terms and conditions associated with the 11 Honore offer that was activated.
Earn $500 cash back when you spend $1,500 or more at 11 Honoré! Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled.

Isn’t that just how it works? You need $3k of NET purchases to qualify. For $1k bonus just flip the stuff on eBay
Credit card users have gotten so ridiculous that this has to be news. "How greedy of chase to take back the $1000 I earned from an offer I returned"
Reading is so harrrrd. "...this seems like an entirely justified clawback..."
If some store ask you to insert the card you used for the purchase, in order to receive a refund, you can get creative. But I'm not so sure about high transaction amounts.
Can you tell us more how to get more creative to not flag as return?
this is why we can't have nice things
Nah...you just like to blame others for your own problems.
Nah...you just can’t think past yourself.
