Chase is offering most cardholders free instacart express until April 2022, this enrolls you in auto renew at $99 per year so remember to cancel/turn off auto renew (Manage plan > Turn off auto-renew). Additionally you get $10 off $35 on one order. Instacart express provides the following benefits:
- No delivery fees on orders of $35+ (normally $3.99)
- Reduced service fees (normally 5% but around 1.9% for Instacart express)
The main issue with Instacart is that prices are so much higher than in store. Still nice to see Chase add this benefit. You can’t have had an Instacart membership as of September 30, 2021 to be eligible for this new benefit.

@will @chucksithe happened to stumble upon this on my Instacart app today -- new promotion for 3-12 months of free Instacart+ with Chase card. Offer begins June 15, 2022, and must be redeemed by July 31, 2024.

Posted now, thanks
For me it says my membership expires June 30, 2022 - not sure why that is but I will take it. My auto renew is off.
how do you turn off auto renewal?
Same, not really sure how it got extended
I just remembered why mines was extend till June. I previously applied a T-Mobile Tuesday promo that added 2 months. @guest_1265364
I dont have T-Mobile so thats out of the question. I might have done some other promo. Not complaining
Thanks for the reminder!
I don’t have a car and being able to buy stuff from Costco via Instacart is a game changer for me! Will probably renew the annual membership
If you have a Costco membership, they sell Instacart Express yearly gift cards for $78.99. Save $20 vs renewing via Instacart directly.
You can also buy the Instacart Express renewal through Costco even without a membership (you do have to login). 5% more, but ~$83 is better than $99 (or $120).
Great recommendation. Thank you for that!
I noticed you can get that discount directly now with Costco Instacart.
Reminder to cancel your free membership @will
Thanks, I'll repost
I tried using this offer and Instacart immediately charged me for the full annual amount after signing up with the Freedom Flex. I had to cancel it immediately to refund the charge. Anyone else have this issue? So much for free. Seems like a bait-and-switch on my side.
I think if we have the membership after Sept 2021 then we will only get free membership but not the $10, is that right? Can someone confirm?
Looks like one per address or maybe per person per address despite different emails?
Is there a document stating what the service fee will be? I thought it was supposed to be 1.9% but my first order as an Express member is 4%.
Much like Door Dash, and just as annoying, it varies.
Service fees vary and are subject to change based on factors like location and the number and types of items in your cart. You can view the service fee total on every order at checkout. Orders containing alcohol have a separate service fee.

Under Manage Plan my only options are annual or monthly, no option to turn off auto-renew. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!
Just cancel the membership and you can continue to use it until it expires in April 2022.
Thanks, it worked!
