The Offer

  • Signup for the Chase INK Cash card using a refer-a-friend link and get $300 bonus after spending $3,000 within the first three months

The standard offer showing on the Chase site is a $200 bonus. Only referrals get the $300 bonus.

Card Details

  • No annual fee
  • Earns 5% back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases at office supply stores and on cellular phone, landline, internet and cable TV services each account anniversary year
  • Earns 2% cash back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases at gas stations and restaurants each account anniversary year
  • Unlimited 1% cash back on all other purchases

Our Verdict

Many people won’t be eligible for the card due to the 5/24 rule. However, if you get pre-approved in a Chase branch, you can circumvent that issue. It might be that you can even process a referral in-branch along with a preapproval offer in branch by giving the banker the info of the person who referred you.

The in-branch offer on the INK Cash is probably $300 as well.

Note, assuming you are eligible for the INK Plus card, it usually makes more sense to signup for that and get a higher signup bonus. You can subsequently product change the card to the INK Cash version to save the annual fee if you choose.

  • Hi, Im new to this world and am trying to track my credit cards. Ive had the Ink Cash for sometime now and am racking up $. However, Im not sure if its true cash back as in they will mail me a check or if its statement credit.

    Also, thank you very much for all the info on this site. I was able to apply for the Chase Sapphire Reserve and it knocked me off my chair when 1 they approved me and for the amount they approved me for.

    Now working to get my business, myself, husband and business partner earning max money on credit cards we use.

    • Chase no longer mails a check. You can have a credit applied to your statement or they will deposit the cash back award into a bank account. You can also get gift cards.

      If you choose the bank deposit method, you'll get the money in 2-3 days. It can be any account too - you're not limited to the accounts you pay the bill from.

      There is a $20 minimum for requesting the cash rewards though.

  • So the cash back on this is only once a year? Talk about anticipation after building that up for months haha
