Chase Ink Preferred Spotted At Branch

Reader Celestino just sent us the following picture showing an advertisement of the new Chase Ink Business Preferred Card:

Their small business banker was busy so they couldn’t ask any questions about the card. I’m unsure if this means the new card is available for sign ups, or they are just trying to generate interest regarding this card for future sign ups. If anybody sees a similar sign and talks to their banker, let us know in the comments. For those now familiar with the card here is what we know so far:

  • Annual fee of $95 (waived first year if you apply in branch)
  • Sign up bonus of 80,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points after $5,000 in spend
  • Card earns at the following rates:
    • 3x points on all travel, telecommunications, shipping and advertising on social-media and search engines purchases. Limited to $150,000 in spend per year, then reverts to 1x points.
    • 1x points on all other purchases
  • Cell Phone Insurance
  • Possible 0% APY in branch
  • Chase Ink Plus is going away

  • My business banker has indicated the card will be available Nov 15.

She is looking to set up an appointment with me so she doesnt miss my business on getting me the card.

Back story, I had declined her offer to move all my business accounts to Chase, as they cant meet the needs of major lines of credit and portfolio lending on my real estate investing business.

So she is trying to get my business, it appears it will start with her wanting to get me the card or move some of my credit availability from my Sapphire Reserve & Freedom card to the business card.

She indicated CHASE will only give a total up to $75,000 credit. Not sure how true that is or whether its personal and business or an either or situation.

    I will keep you posted...

  • I heard people can get a business credit card without owning a (small) business. Can anyone corroborate?

  • Does anyone know if Private clients can bypass 5/24 with this card when applying at branch? Or does that work only for Sapphire Preferred & Reserve cards.

    • CPC is not applicable to Biz cards. unless you're a Biz Private/Wealth Management Client - might exist in the wild but I've never heard about it. either way, even biz cards applied as s-prop are not covered under special consideration. never have.

    • Yes. Pvt Clients can bypass 5/24 for credit cards that are not yet available. In fact, they will send a unicorn as an additional bonus.

    • Card hasn't been launched, so I assume nobody has any idea. Don't see why it wouldn't work.

        • because you sound like you are so desperate for it even wanting or already being a Private Client. And on the other hand, to answer your question, it is possible but not guarantee. Last thing, 80K UR points which is $800 in cash to me or $1200 in travel credit to others, aren't really worth of becoming a Private Client to go for it, IMO.

          • This is how the rich get richer. They're always on the lookout to make a buck, even on unavailable cards.

  • I literally just came from a Chase branch before I even saw this post. I was told by a small business banker that the card isn't available yet.
