Our Verdict

New changes to the card came into effect today (7/11/24). Don’t think it’s really worth burning a 5/24 slot on this card and offer but others might disagree.

  • "Members are able to redeem or purchase up to 15,000 Points to expand the value of such Free Night Award." im also pretty sure you can combine this with 3 award nights paid (e.g. marriott business card) and get fifth night free.

all that plus PYB plus no annual fee make this a great card for a marriott vacation

  • Do points earned from this cars expire regardless of other points-maintaining activities ?

  • Can you product change from Chase Marriott Bonvoy Bold to Chase Ritz carlton after a year?

    • I have seen DPs yes and no. I have also seen a data point where someone PC up from Bold to Bountiful then a few days later could PC to Ritz.

  • I just read docs additional commentary but I just applied for the Amex business 5 nights before it expired yesterday, requires 8K spend in 6 months which is doable but with $125 fee.

  • Meh, if using a 5/24 spot for a year I rather wait for the 5 50k cert offer on the $100 boundless THEN upgrade to the Ritz 2nd year

This offer is ok for just a core card long term keeper, but I’m a greedy sob, I want the max points/certs when signing up any new card
