  • Get $8 back when you signup for Amazon FreeTime subscription.

You’ll get a free month trial and then you have to pay for one $2.99 month fee in order to get this bonus.

The Fine Print

  • Expires April 10th, 2019
  • Renewal fees start at $2.99 after first month free trial
  • Offer applies to purchase of a new subscription. Not valid on subscriptions bundled with physical device purchases.
  • New customers only.
  • Offer valid one time only.

Our Verdict

Terms do require keeping one month of paid subscription. Easy $5 moneymaker, regardless (possibly slightly less profit due to taxes). Especially worthwhile if you find FreeTime useful – it gives you access to thousands of kid-friendly books, movies, TV shoes, games, and apps.

The offer is likely found on Bank Amerideals and other banks too since they all share the same back end, let us know if you see it there.

Appreciate if you signup for FreeTime with our Amazon affiliate link.

I keep coming back to DoC cuz of great content like this FreeTime tip, and this Amazon tip...

    https://www.doctorofcredit.com/how-to-force-getting-targeted-for-american-express-chase-citi-discover-wells-fargo-amazon-promotions/

But the latter mighta messed with the former. I just now checked my FreeTime payment setting -- even tho I'd originally set it to the Chase card that got the offer, in the interim I had deleted all my Ultimate Rewards cards then re-added them. Prolly due to the order (but no way to know) it now thinks I wanna use the wrong one. If it charged the wrong one I wouldn't get the $8 credit (fwiw I just canceled FreeTime instead, so loss averted)

  • Just wanted to mention that the $2.99 price is apparently only if you are the primary Prime member. I am a household member and it's showing $4.99 for me and no 3 month special.

  • Just a heads up, you can actually check out with 2 pairs of headphones and they'll be free (ht to DansDeals). Also, I never received the email about the headphones, but it still worked for me.

    • update: my DP is that the headphone would be credited $12 when check out. NO more free item.

  • Signed Up for the 3 month promo on my 3 accounts and use my BoA, Chase, and PNC. All cash back offers activated and Getting my free headphones, I SM amazon and turned off auto renewal on 3 accounts, easy ~$15

  • I accidentally discovered the free headphones promo is implemented as a max $29.99 discount against headphones in that category. At the current price of $14.99, I ordered two pairs of the Toy Story headphones totally free.

  • Be careful with this one.. I added the deal to my chase cards, but my default card is an Amex card and that card was charged for the purchase and I was not given an option. Complete waste of $3 and the only time I’ve had a loss from using this site. Make sure to change your default card to the correct card.

    • It prompted me to choose which card to used when I clicked the subscribe button in Amazon.

      • You only get prompted if you don't have a one-click card set -- if you do, it doesn't ask

        • Thanks for the tip. To avoid this, I went into payment options in my account and made the relevant card the one I wanted to use "across Amazon."

  • Well, this is weird... Yesterday I got the trial and today I visited the link provided and was able to subscribe for 3 months, apparently just fine. But a few minutes later I got an email confirming my cancellation¿? And browsing around I went to the "Manage Subscription" section and it says "To turn off auto-renewal or cancel your FreeTime Unlimited subscription, please contact customer service online or call"

Edit: the email with the promotional headphones came anyway. Hopefully there's no problem to cancel before the 3-months end.

    • When I did a similar promo last year, I did have to call to cancel, but it was quick. And unexpectedly, my $2.99 was refunded.
