People are reporting this on Chase cards. A number of banks use the same back end for these offers. This includes: Chase, Bank of America, Regions Bank, Suntrust Bank, BBVA, BB&T, PNC, Columbia Bank, Beneficial Bank, and Christian Community CU. You can read this post for more information. Now includes Chase as well.

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid one time only
  • Must be paid directly with merchant
  • payment must be completed by the date which offer expires
  • Only valid at domestic properties

Our Verdict

Hyatt locations usually sell gift cards at reception and that normally triggers these types of offers as well. Max this out by spending $253.

  • Hyatt biz and personal doesn't have the offer. Neither did any of my Chase biz or personal cards that are not hotel chain cards.

Sucks as I could have used this offer in the next few weeks.

  • Looking to book a hotel for August 3-4, any tips on how to find a way to use this offer? Does pre-paid non-refundable work? Would I need to call the hotel before to charge me?

  • I checked my local Hyatt Place locations and neither one sold gift cards. Has anyone else been able to buy a Hyatt gift card at Hyatt Place?

  • Received the 10% offer on my Hyatt card, nothing on my other Chase cards. I also have an email from Hyatt but I don't think these offers stack:

"SAVE UP TO 15% on stays at 650+ participating hotels in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America. Members can save even more. For stays between June 12, 2024, and January 4, 2025. Book by July 9 and use special offer code STAYNOW."

  • Does anyone know if this works on a prepaid reservation? I’m staying at a Thompson in May and I’m wondering if I can book a prepaid stay to trigger this? Not sure if “made directly with the merchant” means Hyatt’s website or the local hotel’s system. Thanks!

    • Hotels are often happy to charge you earlier if you ask, but for a stay in May, I wouldn't trade the flexibility of being able to change or cancel your plans for a small discount like this.
