  • 10% back at Kroger showed up on a couple Chase cards today. I check daily so just showed up. Maybe another round went out @6
    $9 max, expires 12/10

  • With a much higher cap (up-to $1,500 spend for up-to $150 for Q3) I'll stick with churning Discover. Works on other supermarkets too.

      • I think they're just talking about churning the regular Discover sign-up bonus (double cash back for the first year) combined with the quarterly category for grocery.

  • The Fred Meyer/Kroger deals are back on many of my Chase cards: 5 percent on groceries, 3 percent on fuel.

  • I didn't get a general offer for Kroger or Ralphs (the local Kroger chain here in SoCal), but I only got an offer for 5% on Ralphs Boost on both my Freedom and Freedom Flex cards, and on none of my other cards. Ralphs Boost is the same as the Kroger Boost program.

So (a) Chase pays attention to where I live and shop, because they customized the offer for my local Kroger brand, and (b) I don't know if this replacement of the general offer for the Boost offer is for me only, or for Ralphs area people only, or because I used my Freedom card at Ralphs during the first quarter when it was offering 5% back at grocery stores, or because of something else.

And just because Chase knows which Kroger brand is my local one, that doesn't prove that other banks that have these offers would necessarily know.

    • For whatever it's worth: There are two Kroger chains where I live (western WA), and I shop at least occasionally at both; my offer was branded for the one I shop at most often (Fred Meyer). I got the 10% on my Amazon visa but not my Freedom (currently has a 5% on groceries + 0% APR promo, I'm using it for all my groceries) or at other banks. No Boost offer anywhere.
