Chase Offers: Get 10% Off Quill.com, Up To $38 Back

Update 2/19/25: Deal is back through March 19, 2025. Unfortunately $200 cards have a $21.99 fee and $300 cards have a $32.99 fee.

Update 10/10/24: Deal is back.

Update 9/111/24: Offer showing again through 10/5/24. This time it’s for 10% back, up to $38 back. (thanks to all who shared this deal)

Update 3/4/23: New offer showing up for peopel again.

Update 2/20/23: Deal is back at 20% this time, up to $50 back. (ht becauseimnew) Looks like this time they added exclusions:  “Offer excludes HP, Epson, and Samsung products, gift cards and streaming devices”, so I don’t know if gift cards will still work.

The Offer

  • There’s a Chase Offer for 10% back on all of your Quill.com purchases, up to $25 statement credit.

The Fine Print

  • Expires 11/25/21
  • Payment must be made directly with the merchant

Our Verdict

Quill.com sells office supplies, but also sells $200 and $300 Visa gift cards. The $300 card has a $9 fee, and should be an easy moneymaker. Try going through a shopping portal as well and see if it sticks.

Could be worth it for some, especially if you find the offer a card with an office supply multiplier. I’d guess the offer is more likely to show on business cards (?). Let us know if you see it at any other bank, such as Bank Amerideals.

    • It always states that on this offer but I, and many other DPs, have gotten the credit each time.

  • "Unfortunately $200 cards have a $21.99 fee and $300 cards have a $32.99 fee."

$21.99 is 10% of 221.99 and 32.99 is 10% of 332.99, which suggests that Quill finally caught on to what a lot of people were doing and specifically targeted this kind of purchase... perhaps to make back the money they were giving to Chase for this promotion?

    • It's the same stupidity that giftcards.com did with GoC. Just because people are hitting these hard when they have the right offers stacking doesn't mean they will keep doing it when offers dry up.

    • IDK their reasoning, but that's insane. They should just not sell the card. Even if someone's dumb or desperate enough to pay it, they shouldn't take advantage.

They're owned by Staples. IIRC, the paperwork w the gc info has Staples info on it, and you tt Staples if there's a card issue. You guys should punish them for this ridiculous fee by doing the OD/OM gc deals instead of the Staples deals.

  • from what i recall the past few times this offer popped up:

    1. most chase ink cards will eventually see the offer. fortunately, chase does not do the amex nonsense of limiting you to 100 visible offers.
    2. the offer might not be the same for everyone, so even if you get the offer, it might not be for the full $38.
    3. if you have the offer and decide to take it, do not wait. quill takes an astonishingly long time to process your order and ship the card. by the time they actually charge your card, the offer could have expired. i think i've seen it take up to 2 weeks.
    4. i do not believe there has been a single report of chase failing to give the credit for a gift card purchase from quill.
    • With fees on Visa GCs this "deal" is so easy to ignore. Now it's no different than any office supply store running random-deal-of-the-week.

    • May be immaterial for this group, but for point 3, that is for gift cards. Product purchases post quickly.

    • Bulk buyers for business? I imagine they'll drop the fee considerably. Although I also imagine there are much better rates to be had from other providers, but who knows.

I called for a business quote of 100x $300, because I was curious. They said they have to run it by management and get back to me. Afaik GC's aren't ever a money maker, so I don't know why they mess with it all, tbh.

  • Crazy, checked my order history, for $300 visa gc. fee was $8.95 in 2023, $9.95 last September, and jump to $32.99 now.

  • have on ink cash but with the 10% fee on Visa cards, better off buying $300 in cards when fee free at Staples. Or better yet, Office Depot with the $15 off.
