  • Folks it would be better to buy $500 gift cards from Sams or Costco for $429-$439 when they post them. I always buy a couple when the deals are out. They are always available.

  • Where can I expect to find this? Looked through my Chase Offers and email but didn't find anything.

  • DP - received 5% offer on three of my cards, booked WN flights for March on 1/11/25. Received $40 credit on all three of my cards 1/17/25

  • First time seeing them add a restriction on when the flight has to occur. I take it buying a flight for March travel wont work?

  • Think purchases in January (for Feb flights) will count?

Earn up to 5% cash back* on your Southwest Airlines February purchase, when you spend $50 or more, with a $40.00 cash back maximum.
It's the perfect time to get away - unwind, relax, and recharge by flying in February for the highest cashback. We aim to provide flexibility on the fly for you with the Southwest travel experience - including digital bag tracking, upgraded in-flight WiFi, no change or cancellation fees & 2 bags fly free!
Offer expires 2/15/2025. Offer valid one time only. 5% reward only valid on purchase booked and flown in February. Reward maximum is $40. Payment must be made directly with the merchant. Rewards cannot be combined. Offer not valid on purchases made using third-party services or a third-party payment account (e.g., buy now pay later). Payment must be made on or before offer expiration date. Terms apply.

    • The most troubling language is "booked and flown in February." The 10% reward offer does not include that language and provides a 10% offer if the flight is flown in February; otherwise 5%. It would be really odd for Chase to have an offer that can't be used immediately but that seems to be what the language suggests.

  • readers pl note, the 10% cash back is ONLY on the fare this is calculated, in other words if south west fare from Miami to Las Vegas is $499 that will include taxes and crazy fees+surcharges you WILL NOT get 10% back on that, you may end of up getting 10% on $200 which Chase and Southwest calculate as NET airfare paid

Crazy right ? Well that is how banks and corp America cheats you

    • The cheapest WGA fare from Miami to Las Vegas for 2/15 is currently $174, $35 of which is taxes and fees.

So nowhere near the 60% going to fees+surcharges that you claimed. And the whole purchase counts toward the bonus.

      Crazy, right?

    • Not true. But even if so, the tax on your MIA-LAS flight is $5.60. The only time you'll pay some high tax is to the Caribbean and Mexico.

      • He is indeed wrong. It's 10% of whatever is charged to the card. Shopping portals are the ones that exclude taxes. I used this southwest offer last year.
