  • Redeem points on Chase’s travel portal at a value of 1.25¢ due to the 25% travel redemption bonus
  • Not eligible if you’ve received a sign up bonus on the Sapphire Preferred/Reserve in the last 48 months (standard is now 48 months)
  • Chase 5/24 rule applies to this card

Our Verdict

Unfortunately this isn’t as good as the in branch offer for 85,000 points. It’s a bit more work having to go in branch but worth it for the extra points in my opinion. The 75,000 offer for the Chase Sapphire Reserve is the same in branch/online though. We won’t add this 75,000 offer to the best credit card bonuses due to the higher in branch offer.

  • DP: Went to branch today(06/21/2024). Got instant approval. 75k points for 4k spend in 3 months and another 10k points for 6k( extra 2k) spend in 6 Months. So total 85K points. Banker was able to expedite the card. Should get it in 2 business days.

  • Help! I applied through a referral link (from my wife) and was not immediately approved. I received no notice of not being eligible for the sign-up bonus. I was approved three days later and just received my card. I called to ask where the sign-up bonus tracker was and they said there is no sign-up bonus and if I was ineligible, they can't add one. And they can't tell me if/why I'm ineligible. (They're going to mail me a written explanation in 10-14 days.) I received my last CSP sign-up bonus in 2019. I'm an authorized user on both my wife's and my mom's CSPs. Any thoughts on what's going on and/or what I can/should do?

    • I'm super happy to report that the promised letter states that I *am* eligible for the bonus as long as I have not received a new cardmember bonus on this credit card in the past 24 months and the account is open and not in default when [they] post the bonus. So, I'm good!

    • I'm a bit surprised you wouldn't be eligible. You got a CSP SUB in 2019? No other Sapphire bonus since?

I do wonder, because I've never been in that position, if they count you holding a CSP or self-referring because you're an authorized user.

      • When you say, "No other Sapphire bonus since?," you just mean SUBs. Right? I mean, I have received a few referral bonuses.

        • Yes, I meant SUB, like if you got the Reserve since it’s a sapphire card.

Tie think there should be a reason, but.other than the being AU, I can’t think of one. i suppose you’ll have to wait until you get the letter unless you want to keep calling until you get a rep who might know something more.

  • Would I qualify for the signup bonus if I received the bonus on this card 4 years ago and downgraded the card to a No AF sapphire card a year later? Do I need to product change my current card to another chase card before applying?

    • @guest_1860146 You need to get rid of the Sapphire in order to apply for another Sapphire. You can PC or close, either way works. You just can't hold a Sapphire and apply for another one.

As long as your bonus for the Sapphire was received over 48 months ago, you should be good to go then.

  • Applied for the 85k offer in the branch. The application went into review and when I called CS, they said it'll take take 10 - 15 business days for the decision. I've never experienced this before. I only applied for 1 Amex CC back in October and got approved. I don't have any other CCs.

    • You're not denied, yet. If you are, maybe it's a lack of credit card history? You could try to call reconsideration again, or you can wait it out.

You did it in branch? What did the banker say? Were you "preapproved" at all?

      • Yes I got a mailer for 80k. I took that to the branch on a Saturday the 8th, and they said there was a higher bonus offer and we applied for that instead. When we submitted the application, it went into review and the bank rep said we'll need to wait for corporate to open their offices for this to move forward. I called them on Monday and they just told me to wait since the application just passed security checks. I only have a years worth of credit history which may be the reason here.

  • I referred P2 on 6/12 with an e-mail link. I just checked the link and it still has the 75K point offer available. Regular website only has the 60K offer. If anyone is interested in the 75K bonus and can post link, I will make it available.

  • Surprisingly p2 still receive an email about referral bonus this morning, and showing 75k for referee?! Anyone else got this email? If not, hope I could post the referral link?

    • @guest_1859788 Why is that surprising? All the Sapphire referral links are 75k.

There is a higher (85k) in branch offer that will expire soon.

  • @2 Looks like the online offer is back to 60K to me. Same with the Reserve. Noticed it after the 6/13 2pm CST time frame you mentioned in the edit.
