Chase To Open Chase Sapphire Lounges (First Lounge To Open In 2022)

Chase has announced Chase Sapphire Lounge® by The Club. Chase has partnered with Airport Dimensions for this project (they operate ‘The Club’ lounges). It looks like the first lounge will be located in Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and is expected to open in 2022. The lounge will be 12,000 square feet and be located in the currently under construction Terminal B to C connector.

This lounge will also be open to Priority Pass customers, as the Chase Sapphire Reserve card already has Priority Pass membership it leads me to believe that Chase Sapphire Preferred customers will likely have some level of access (either a fee or limited number of visits). Strange considering that other Premium cards would also have access to this lounge (e.g Platinum cardholders). Capital One has also announced it’s intention to open and operate lounges and also bid on this space but missed out.

  • So basically, Chase is licensing the Sapphire brand to a Priority Pass lounge in Boston.

  • I hate rooms full of kids and a priority pass lounge at Boston Logan is basically that

  • Can't believe Amex lost to Chase on this. Airport Dimensions already runs The Club so how is this "diverse".

    • Also interesting how Plaza Premium would run Cap 1's and TAV bid separately, TAV is to run cap 1's IAD lounge.

    • Not even just chase but a contract lounge on behalf of chase. Amex needed this and still does. IMHO Boston is a premium market Amex really risks losing share in and a centurion lounge could help them keep share. As a boston based flyer I don't really even look at the Plat cuz it wouldn't be worth it with no centurion at my home airport. Just my two cents.

      • lol dude you and a couple of others will make a determination on whether to get the plat card or not. We all know you love free food. I vote two hands down not to have centurion lounge. What is the purpose of a lounge if you can't use it? Again you will not be let in if its packed to capacity.

    • Yeah, also says plaza premium was an option and missed out. This is disappointing. Both of those are better options.

    • This is amazing news dude. If amex built a lounge it would have been jampacked. You know now they have waiting lists and they put your name down and text you when its your turn. Took me an hour and a half to get the text and by that time I was boarding my flight. So no thank you, amex please stay away from Boston!!!

  • If Chase lets all PP holders walk in, this would be like mileage reciprocal benefits (typical across airlines in alliances) for Amex Plat and other cardholders with PP benefits. Should give you an idea of how crowded its gonna get.

  • If there's one thing BOS needs, it's more PP lounges and outrage from people who can't get into them.
