[Expired] Chase Ultimate Rewards: 20% Transfer Bonus To Aeroplan (1:1.2)

Deal has ended, view more Aeroplan deals by clicking here.

The Offer

  • Chase Ultimate Rewards program is offering a 20% transfer bonus when you transfer to Aeroplan. Normally you can transfer at a rate of 1:1 and under this promotion that increases to 1:1.2

The Fine Print

  • Valid until July 31, 2023.

Our Verdict

Not as good as the previous 30% transfer bonus. This stacks with the 10% card member bonus as well (must transfer a minimum of 50,000 points), this applies to the base points being transferred. I don’t recommend transferring points speculatively but if you have a specific redemption in mind this could be useful. You can view more Chase transfer bonuses by clicking here.

  • still shows me 1:1 rate. I tired to transfer 1000 UR points and got 1000 aeroplan points...

  • I got the 20% bonus, but the additional 10% aeroplan card bonus hasn't arrived yet after 1 week. Anyone having the same issue?

    • It worked for me last year the extra 10% posted in a few days back dated to the day of transfer. Not working this time around. I have seen data points in several forums stating the same.

      • Me too. 30% + 10% bonus posted on the date of transfer in November 2022. Has anybody received the 10% bonus this year?

  • Has anyone used this transfer? I did last week Friday and the points still havent hit my AC account?

  • Saw this while redeeming PYB for travel on Chase Aeroplan card:

"REMINDER: Only Aeroplan Points earned under the Aeroplan Program, the Chase Aeroplan Card, and Chase Ultimate Rewards can be used for Chase Pay Yourself Back. Points converted from other programs are not eligible. If you proceed contrary to these terms, the Aeroplan Program and Chase Aeroplan Card reserves the right to reverse your point redemption or freeze your Aeroplan Membership account."

So with this bonus 50k points (to get the added 10%) tranferred from UR would be $812.50 at 1.625 cpp. The older 30% bonus comes out to be 1.75 cpp.

  • This is a great deal IMO as Aeroplan prices out 20-30% less than United on International award tickets. Same UA flight, they want 100K miles, Aeroplan about 70-75K miles. The fee is about 100CAD but with conversion, 65% of that. Both Aeroplan and Lifemiles offer significant point savings over UA.

    • Agree with this. The issue with Aeroplan is the change fee, which can be high. Lifemiles is great when the website works, calling into the customer service is less than ideal experience.

  • Can you use Pay yourself back on these transferred points. With 20% promo and additional 10% with Aeroplan card transfer over 50,000 points, you can could have very good value around 1.82 if you can use PYB option on these transferred points.

  • I dont have this but can you then use aeroplan for 1.25 against travel just like sapphire card? So you get 1.5 total?

    • No. You can use Aeroplan points to book Air Canada flights, but the ratio of points to cash cost of the flight will vary depending on what you want to book.

  • Typo @will Chase Ultimate Rewards program is offering a 30% transfer bonus when you transfer to Aeroplan.

    Should be 20%
