The Offer
- Chase Ultimate Rewards program is offering a 40% transfer bonus when you transfer to Marriott. Normally you can transfer at a rate of 1:1 and under this promotion that increases to 1:1.4
The Fine Print
- Valid until December 20, 2022
Our Verdict
Previously Chase has offered a 50% bonus twice. Even at that 50% bonus it’s still not worth doing, as Chase UR points are more valuable. You can view a full list of current and past transfer bonuses by clicking here.

Mariott and Hilton should close their rewards program at their current devaluation rate.
delete their accounts
Agreed with everyone. Marriott got the worst reward program. I might just do the minimum to keep my left over points alive.
It is ok with me, but I won't be using this. Can you book a non-base room using Marriott points? I am not sure how.
Through their website, generally yes, but it isn't consistent from what I've seen.
I would want at least 100% bonus to even consider it, unless I just needed a small amount of Marriott points to top off my account for a specific booking
.
Must be 400% before I would consider it
They must think we're stoopid.
I will probably be stoopid and transfer 1000 UR to keep my points alive if Marriott stops extending the expiry. :(
Marriott has stopped as of this year and I transferred 1,000 to keep them alive. Perfectly valid use.
Does anyone know if the transfer to Hyatt extends the expiration? I have Hyatt points expiring soon and need a way to keep them alive.
