Chili’s has sent out an e-mail to My Chili’s Rewards members stating that they will no longer be a member of the coallition loyalty program Plenti starting May 3rd. The key dates are as follows:
- You’ll continue to earn Plenti points until March 15th, 2018
- You can redeem Plenti points on eligible purchases until May 3rd, 2018
- After May 3, 2018, Plenti members will continue to have access to any available points and can use those points for savings on eligible purchases at participating Exxon and Mobil gas stations, Rite Aid stores and Bi-Lo, Winn-Dixie, and Harveys supermarkets.
Macy’s also recently announced they are leaving the program as well. This coalition program has been an unmitigated disaster by American Express, they have so little faith in the program continuing they have even discontinued the Plenti credit card and have ended Plenti transfers from Membership Rewards.

FYI to everyone. Exxon is leaving. Each franchise is pulling out. Do what you want with that info. Spend your points ASAP.
Rats leaving a sinking ship.
I'm glad I used mine up with my last Macy's purchase.
Looks like the only way left to make money with Plenti is to place a bet in Vegas on which day it shuts down.
Rite Aid is only sticking around as a partner until existing Plenti points have a chance to be redeemed. To confuse maters purchases earn wellness plus points which is an entirely separate reward system with points expiring in 60 days. Since the cashier has no clue which points are in what balance the default cashout at the register is W+ points first, then Plenti, even though the Plenti program is being phased out.
Good to know...thanks for the heads up!
I just got a notification today from Dosh that Chili's has joined the Empyr network at 7% cashback. Looks they jumped from one rewards network to another in the same day.
I hope Exxon stays as partner. I usually use all my plenti points for gas only
My guess is a lot of people do this (including myself). I wouldn't be surprised if American Express sold Plenti to Exxon Mobil at some point.
+1 to this indeed
