Citi released the 5% quarterly category for the fourth quarter of 2024 (activation required):
- Restaurants
- Citi Travel – hotels, car rentals, and attractions (excluding air travel) booked through the Citi Travel site at CitiTravel.com or by calling 1-833-737-1288
Citi is different than the other cards in that you have a $6,000 annual cap rather than a $1,500 quarterly cap. You can get 5% back on up to $6,000 in this quarter or you can save the entire amount for a different quarter, or you can use part up each quarter.

would fast food count as restaurant?
For the rewards earned on this card, is there the option to cash out to get a gift card? I only see cash out via check or direct deposit. Thanks.
I'm not sure. Why would you want to redeem for a gc instead of cold hard cash?
I wonder how long Citi would keep this product at all. The fact that they still need someone to work on these categories after discontinuing new applications for so many years amazes me.
There are still many of us that have 1 of these cards. Some of us even have 2.
I have three, and P2 has one as well.
Restaurants actually work out well for me as I'm likely to transition my Altitude Go card to the US Bank 2-4% card.
@guest_1907617 what US Bank card are you referring to?

Pretty disappointing categories to finish out the year
If you're doing it right, you shouldn't have much, if anything, left of the $6K annual cap of spend at this point. 😉
I guess I'm not doing it right then. I've only finished off one of four Dividend cards, but thanks for your smarmy reply.
Citi Travel? No thanks.
Restaurant is an OK category.
