Citi Dividend Releases 5% Categories for Entire 2019

Citi has now released the 5% categories for the entire 2019 on the Citi Dividend card:

Direct Link

  • Q1: Gas stations and Home Depot
  • Q2: Drugstores and fitness clubs
  • Q3: Airlines and car rentals
  • Q4: Best Buy and department stores

Pretty similar to the 2018 Dividend categories, but nice to see drugstores is back.

Remember, with Citi Dividend you get $300 in total reward dollars per year, irrespective of when you spend it. So you can do $6,000 in a single quarter and then stop using the card for the rest of the year.

Does anyone know if airline GCs can trigger the airline 5% back?

Looks like my dividend bonus at CVS are not posting. Have confirmed with CSR that my card is enrolled. Bet its related to the enrollment bug cuz my other dividend card is posting fine. Anyone has the same issue?

Not sure what the excitement is about Q2 drugstores. Rite Aid and Walgreens don’t sell any variable gift cards. CVS only sells Amex gift cards and Vanilla gift cards. These cards cannot be registered and don’t have any warranty protection. YMMV when it comes to whether or not these cards will work on online payments. But they are only guaranteed to work at swipe machines.

I’ve been to a lot of WAG and CVS in different states and most, if not all of them, sold variable vanilla GCs and AGCs. Since the fees for variable vanillas increased to $5.95, I only buy when I see old stocks with $4.95 fee. For MS purposes, I drain them to Serve at DG and/or FD.

Do NOT apply for Dividend citicard , I requested for dispute charge from long time ago ad I called them I don’t know more than 10 or 15 time and every time I was on the phone for half hour or 45 minutes, and very interesting they are so rude and impolite on the phone with customer . Associate name : Oetavio and manager or supervisor name is Brayan
As I said I write review for dividend card every day and every day I put all associate and manager or supervisor name.

For Dividend, there is no way to see online prior to statement close whether a transaction coded as 5% /gas, right?
