I did the Amex 15% deal last year since I could find tickets for January 2024.
However, ticket availability seems much worse now...Although 25% seems quite attractive I'd wait until availability opens up. Otherwise it could be points going to dumpster... I believe lifemiles actually have an expiration date.
Is it possible to transfer thankyou points to lifemiles without a citi Premier card?
Citi lifemiles bonus is usually 1:1.25
While amex is usually 1:1.15
Does that mean TYP > MR in value and amex pays more $ per lifemile vs citi?
I rather take the 1:1 than deal with citi tbh. One of the most archaic and difficult institution to deal with, like they put up way too many security guardrails and horrible to deal with calling in speaking with some India call center--like they speak English but at the same time don't speak English English. How do people bother with TYP?
I abandoned them too after I got Venture X.
Amex has 15% bonus to LM pretty frequently anyway.
The Verdict: "Standard transfer rate is 25%, so this isn’t as good as that."<--DoC might need to edit this.
