• Redrocks Credit Union is offering a bonus of $150 when you open a new checking account. To receive the bonus you must complete the following requirements:
  • Use or mention promo code HRCHAMBER18 at account opening
  • Use your debit card once within 90 days of account opening
  • Receive a direct deposit within 90 days of account opening

The Fine Print

• Offer not valid on existing checking account.
• Must use or mention promo code HRCHAMBER18 at time of account opening to receive this offer.
• Bonus will be deposited into members’ Red Rocks savings account 90 days after account opening and direct deposit begins.
• To obtain the bonus, you must have a Red Rocks debit card, use your debit card once within in 90 day period and have a direct deposit set up.
• To be a member of Red Rocks Credit Union you must have a savings account and maintain a minimum balance of $5.
• Checking account is subject to qualification.
• Red Rocks is not liable for any fees incurred as a result of the promotion requirements.
• Minimum of one bill must be paid through Bill Pay service each calendar month or fee will apply. Contact credit union to opt-out of Bill Pay.
• All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

I wasn’t able to find any mention of an early account termination fee in their fee schedule.

Our Verdict

They previously offered a $100 bonus. This bonus is better, but still not worth considering due to the hard pull in my opinion. Because of that we won’t be adding this to our list of the best checking sign up bonuses.
