Avoiding Fees
Their priority checking account is the easiest account to keep fee free as it has no monthly fee or minimums. I wasn’t able to find any mention of any early account termination fee in the fee schedule.
Our Verdict
Not a bad deal considering it’s a soft pull to open and there are no monthly fees to worry about. It’s also nice that you can get some of this bonus without a direct deposit (even if it’s only $50). Because of this we have added this to our list of the best checking sign up bonuses.

Bonus took 3 full months to post.
I did real DD
FYI the credit funding limit is $1000. Also the early account termination fee is $15 if the account is closed within 90 days.
Thanks Terrence - I guess the branch manager thinks $1,000 is "unlimited" as when I talked to her she specifically said "unlimited" CC funding even when I asked her to confirm a second time.
I just forwarded you an email with info on this Bank.
Thanks, Justin!
Will,
I joined SBD in December they use CHEX Systems so Soft Pull. The real reason why I joined was their Health Savings Account (HSA) Rates (Since 2012 via Deposit Accounts):
$1,499.99> .25% APY
$2,499.99> .50% APY
$4,999.99> .75% APY
$9,999.99> 1.00% APY
$10,000+ 1.25% APY
Are you sure it's a soft pull?
Will,
For me it was a Soft Pull. I literally had no new credit cards or bank accounts opened in 25 months at that point.
Thanks :)
I also opened the accounts in branch.
Thanks Will and Curmudgeon. I have been doing a (hopefully) full round up of CT banks, and had run into this bank, but not the bonus.
Curmudgeon - how did you find this one?
Got denied on this one. I have opened around 17 accounts in the last 6 months, so it was probably about time. They may be sensitive.
Just tried again online, now 1.5 months later, and got approved
