The bottom of the page shows the CashStar logo and the FAQ page says "When is my credit card charged for my purchase? Your credit card is charged at the time of purchase. This purchase will appear on your credit/debit card statement as Delta CSTAR GFTCD." aka Delta CashStar Gift Card
Based on those 2 facts, I do not believe this would trigger the Delta AMEX Offer, since the charge will most likely come from CashStar, and not Delta. If you want to take a small gamble, you can purchase a $25 Delta eGC and see how the purchase posts.
This should stack with the amex offer spend $300 and get 3000 MR points right?
Would this stack with the Amex offer specifically for Delta GCs?
Yes
Anyone who is intent on trying this deal who still has the Amex deal ($75 off $250, etc.) should try this gift card deal and report back whether it triggers. Prefer the physical card option, since the eGC will most certainly be CashStar.
I'd love to know this as well. Could be a really nice stack but I doubt it would work
Amex deal terms are pretty specific about flight originating in US etc.
@guest_1702658 Yes...however I had the GC trigger back in 2022 (or 2021 i forget which year at this point) buying a $300 GC and triggering the $125 credit. Now, the physical GC page was different than what I see now, So I can't ascertain as to whether it will register as cashstar or Delta.
I guess you could always buy the lowest denomination gift card ($50) and see what it will code as? But that doesn't really help...
