Doctor Of Credit Posts You Should Have Bookmarked

There are a lot of posts on this site (over 3,000 in fact) a lot of those are just deals that have expired or things that no longer work, but there are some posts that are worth keeping bookmarked so you can find them easily. I’ve just gone through every single post we’ve ever written (a huge waste of time I assure you, although amusing to see how awful this site used to be) and put those posts together below. If you think I’ve missed any, let me know in the comments.

They aren’t in any particular order, either. So have fun going through each one and let me know your favorite post in the comments.

  • Will, yer awesome, and this just goes to show - one reason alone - why this is one of the best/most resourceful sites on the interwebz currently. once again, thank you for all your hard work. we really appreciate it. I wish you'd share ALL deals and not censor anything. it almost seems like you get bullied around a bit from the twitter crowd, especially dumbasses like that loser tbb george.

    • I appreciate the compliments, but George is a very nice guy and somebody I respect (even if I don't agree with everything he says). I also find name calling never really gets you anywhere in life. I don't really censor anything either, if you'd like a deal shared that isn't on the blog send me an e-mail about it.

      • he really isnt. I know you try to be very politically correct and what not. but he's the last person you need to be vying for any brownie points, regardless of how much traffic he may have sent your way when you were starting out w/this site. if he ever had any modicum of respect he lost it by announcing his 'retirement' on tbb several times, only to come back like a bad rash.

he's a moron on his lame site, on twitter, on ft and the worse part is that he doesnt even know how big of a hypocrite he looks like. a recent example is how he gave you a hard time about doing something he professes is the mission of his pathetic site: informing/educating/helping users get/find/use BEST available offers for CC, for example (you know cause affiliate bloggers only tell you about inferior offers, in his own words :/)

he's so blind or full of inexplicable rage, that he's decided readers shouldn't get the better offer if they use someone else's affiliate links that he doesnt like. does that make a lick of sense in any sane world? he's a loser w/personal vendattas against ppl who are much more successful than he will ever be. on top of that, his affiliate links suck, his solution to use Dan's link was laughable - and lastlye he does the same thing he blasts other more successful bloggers of doing: pumping his crap like there's no tmrw.

anyways, by censoring I mean that you make a judgment call re: what to post and what not to. I think you've posted about your dilemmas on this site and on twitter before on how to proceed w/certain deals. I really think you should have an open book policy and post about ALL deals (that you humanly can.) you do an AMAZiNG job as it is, and I dont think the role of gatekeeper suits you.

sure some deals maybe fragile, but if they are fragile to begin with that means they're gonna die sooner rather than later (by definition.) thus more ppl might as well take advantage of it if they know about it in a timely manner. esp deals that arent repeatable or scalable anyways. I know of several limited-scale (by T&C of the FI) deals on private forums that I'm a part of, but you havent talked about em here. I'm pretty sure as involved as you are in the community, you know about those deals too. since no one 'owns' those deals, who/what prevents you from posting about em? just curious!

        • Adam,

Can you explain how what you did was not hypocritical? I have no idea who George is but you called him a hypocrite (and other negative things). You told Will that he should post about every deal he finds. Yet you ignored my question about how to find these "private" forums that talk about these "fragile" deals. You could have at least had the decency to not ignore my question about "FI" completely.

        • I'm not part of any private forums or chat groups (to avoid any accusations of deal theft) and most people avoid telling me stuff because I'll post it on the site.

The only stuff I really don't post anymore is MS related and any bank accounts that can be funded with like $50k+. Usually that's just because the people that have told me about them asked not to be posted.

  • DoC has managed to aggregate and extrapolate a lot of pointedly concise and helpful information while still keeping a noob friendly yet non-fluffy feel to it. Your posts have helped me make or save well over $10k since I started learning about MS. I read a bunch on FT forums early on too but it was a chore sifting through all the info and asking a question was always inviting ridicule. I know it's no small task sifting this info which is why I appreciate the blog that much more.

And to think it all started just wanting to learn more about the finer points of credit.

While the days of scaled MS appear to be coming to an unceremonious end, I look forward to whatever direction you take this blog next. Thanks Will!

  • A nice example of why this is one of the best resources on the net. If you're benefitting from this blog, pay them back by signing up through their links, using their referrals etc.

    Win-win.
