Drop Adds Sam’s Club, Jet.com, and Bloomingdale’s as Ongoing Offers + Important Caveat

Drop is a card-link program which offers rewards automatically at many top retailers after linking your credit card. There are a few new offers showing there for ongoing spend (i.e. not time-limited and not limited to a one use):

  • Earn 30 points per dollar at Sam’s Club (3%)
  • Earn 25 points per dollar at Jet.com (2.5%)
  • Earn 20 points per dollar at Bloomingdale’s (2%)

I was pretty excited upon seeing these offers…until I got the follow-up email which stipulates that you must go through the app or the dedicated link in the email to get credit. Basically, Drop is jumping into the shopping portal game, for which they have many competitors offering similar or better offerings. I was going to trash this whole post, but decided to post it for others to understand to understand the offer.

There are also a few one-time offers showing on Drop: earn up to 12000 points ($12) when making a Birchbox purchase, 160 points per dollar at Meundies (16% back), 100 points per dollar at MVMT (1% back), 4000 points ($4) with $5 Kobo purchase, and the Giftagram deal and the Plastiq deal, and the WealthSimple offer we’ve already posted about.

I know some people are against using Drop due to previous problems. Let us know if you find these posts worthwhile or not. Judging from the number of referrals we’ve gotten, I think there are a lot of people now using the program successfully who are interested in hearing these things. If people aren’t interested, we’ll stop posting about them.

  • what other card linked programs do you guys know about and recommend? (ones that don't require a shopping portal type link?)

  • Any chance of a post talking about the various card-link programs that are out there and comparing them? I'm a bit new to this. Can you link more that one program to a card?

  • I really like Drop because I don't have to pay attention to earn a few dollars here and there. Having to click a link defeats their purpose so unless the offer is very good I may end up ignoring them.

I don't mind the posts, I guess it can always be useful for someone out there. Thanks!

      • That $140 is from Drop overall, not just the plastiq offers. A good chunk of my points came from the Wealthsimple offer. The rest are coming from work and personal expenses. Other Plastiq offers were better than the current one though.

        • I did the WealthSimple one too. It's funny how DOC always calls them WealthFront :D

  • It's response bias. Ppl who are interested in these kind of posts tend to reply they are interested, while ppl who are not interested don't even care to leave a reply saying they are not interested.

I noticed you have posted so many stuff these couple of days, but...

    • Well, I found it interesting to at least be aware of even if I'm not currently using Drop and have no plans to do so for the time being.

  • I had posted earlier also but posting again here . Have got more than $110 plus counting from Drop.

Tracking of amazon card is slow but most of the purchases are tracking .
