- Receive a $100 American Express gift card when you open a No Hidden Fees Business Checking from East Cambridge Savings Bank and complete the following requirements:
- Open account with debit card and eStatements
- Make a minimum of three debit card transactions per month
The Fine Print
- Offer applies to Massachusetts businesses only that do not currently have an existing East Cambridge Savings Bank business checking account
- Minimum deposit to open the account is $10.00
- the account must not have a negative balance and must be active for 90 days with (minimum of 3 transactions per month)
- Limit one gift card per business entity
- Within 14 days of meeting the requirements you will be notified by phone where to pick up the gift card
- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
This account has no monthly fees, we’re not sure about if there is any early account termination fees but given that there are no monthly fees it’s not really a big deal anyway.
Our Verdict
This bonus seems pretty easy to do, with just three debit card transactions per month and no monthly fees. The main downside is you’ll need to go into a branch at least twice (once to open the account and the other time to get your reward, possibly even a third time to cancel the account). We also don’t know whether it’s a hard or soft pull to open.
