The Offer
Shop at Home Birthday 3x Merchants
Today is Shop at Home’s 29th birthday, who knew they have been around that long, they are offering 3x the normal payout for many popular merchants Today Only. These payouts are some of the higheest we have seen for these merchants in a long time: Ebay 3%, Walmart 6%, Staples 6%, Sears 15%.
Ebay at 3% on Shop at Home portal is one of the higher cashback payouts we have seen in a while, minus the infamous InboxDollars which has caused many people issues.
The Fine Print
- 3x Payout on many portals Today Only (10/26/15) can be seen here.
- You earn 50 Gold Points for each purchase (equivalent to $.50)
What is a Gold point?
- Shop at Home genrally offers 50 Gold points for each purchase via their portal and can be seen right next to the cashback rate as seen below:
- The best part about gold points is they are worth $.50 when redeemed for gift cards at Shop at Home.
- There are a couple of merchants where Gold Points are redeemable, but the only interesting one I have seen is Walmart.
- Gold Points are usually redeemable in a minimum of 500 Gold Points at a time, which is usually 10 purchase, which shouldn’t be too hard.
- Feel free to learn more about Gold Points more here.
Shop at Home Free 100 Gold Points for Refer a Friend
- There is currently a Refer a Friend Promotion for 100 Gold Points for signing up (which will get you 1/5 the way towards a $5 gift card).
- If you would like me to refer you, email me mileswhip@gmail.com with whatever email you would like me to send you the invite to.
Our Vedict
These portal birthday promotions have been quite good this year. I will definetly be taking advantage of this Shop at Home offer with up to 15% cashback at some of my favorite merchants. Also another tip, whenever Shop at Home is the same percentage cashback as the next highest portal available, I will prefer to go with Shop at Home for the added 50 Gold points (equivalent to $.50). I have had extremely good tracking with Shop at Home (sometimes quicker than TopCashBack, but be warned Ebay can take as long as a week) and customer service experience via Twitter and their own website. Let me know your thoughts and experiences in the comments.

With regards to the Sears payout, it doesn't look like the terms and conditions excludes gift card purchases. Is this correct? If so, then this might be a great opportunity to load up on Sears gift cards with the Discover double cashback promotion.
I bought Sears gift cards (I'm pretty sure it was a reload, but it may have been an e-gift card) through ShopAtHome earlier this year that didn't track. When I opened a claim, they denied it saying they don't pay out for Sears gift cards. Things may have changed since then but I think the risk is pretty high if you try it.
