Our Verdict

This is the fourth such offer from eBay within the past month (three coupons and one bucks offer), seems like they are trying to work their sales numbers. #corporateamerica

Remember to go through a shopping portal for up to 1.5% back. There’s also 3% back on Ebates for the clothing category. As always, we appreciate those who use our eBay affiliate link to shop instead.

  • With these recent promos, it looks like eBay is trying to acquire new eBay customers and thus increase long term market share through an increased customer base.

    • Online sales are way up across all industries. No way all that growth can go to Amazon. ebay and walmart/jet each have the opportunity grow their customer base right now, sometimes it takes loss leaders to do that (Amazon and Costco know all about those).

  • Do we enter the code in the "Gift cards, coupons, eBay Bucks" field? It doesn't work for me. The instructions on ebay make it sound like you buy the item then enter the code somewhere after. Any help would be much appreciated!

  • They should get rid of the no gift card/money/coupon restrictions. I'm sure that would help their numbers a lot without discounts like these.

    • I was able to pay for a $475 order with eBay GCs during the 20% off sale a few weeks ago, even though the terms said no go. Got the discount.

        • Try Again. Look under the mat - I mean under "Everything Else" category for Amzn GCs. The "non-profit" seller BTW is owned by guess who...ebay! They can bend their own rules! (and yes its safe to buy)
