Our Verdict

One of the better nationwide high interest accounts, it’s nice that it’s a soft pull and you can fund a small amount with a credit card. The high maximum balance is also nice. As always, please share your experiences in the comments below.

  • Tried to do a US Bank Business Leverage funding of $1200, declined as it coded as cash advance.

  • $1200 (max) CC funding posted but available funds still showing $0. Anyone know how long it takes for funds to be made available? Already posted as purchase on my cc.

  • Just opened a new checking account. During sign up, it's asking for the membership number and PIN. I have copied the membership number. But what is the PIN number?

  • Just FYI, this month's cash app transactions posted as withdrawal rather than POS for me, may just be time to move on to a different bank since rate isn't competitive anymore.

    • @guest_1670443 Nothing has changed except for the name. Is their rate competitive anymore? No. Is that what you're referring to?

Are your penny Paypal subscriptions working? I tried to start one this morning and got an error message from Paypal.

  • @chucksithe @will I've had various accounts since 2020 which helped to easily meet SUBs on credit cards. I mostly used the Vertical Checking at the $20k cap when the interest rate was better than alternatives are now. Anyway, please update the $1200 maximum credit card funding for this institution with the following credit cards since I've confirmed that they do not incur cash advance fees and all post transactions as purchases:

    CapitalOne Quiksilver
    Wells Fargo Active Cash
Chase Ink Unlimited and Chase Ink Cash
    Bank of America Premium Rewards

  • How is everyone taking out their money quickly? Seems like there is only a $1k limit per day..

  • Anyone know if there is a limit to the number of external banks one can have linked here? I've tried to link Wells Fargo and Chase recently and both were denied by Plaid... Have 29 banks connected currently, have had others in the past (in case there are lifetime limits I'm not aware of....) TIA!

    • I think there may be some problems with plaid. I wasn't able to link my Chase either recently though was able to a while ago. But I was able to link to other accounts after it refused to link Chase.

      • Thanks! @guest_1280397

As a DP for others, went well north of 30 accounts this past week but had to enter them manually.

        • Do you just use this for small transfers or were you able to get a permanent increase of transfer limits? I would like a hub account that can automate transfers and allow for a ton of external links like this, but the Liberty transfer limits are quite limiting. When I asked for an increase before it was only temporary.

  • Can anyone let me know if any DD methods work apart from payroll or SS? I was planning to move my money out around Feb 2-3 but I didn't get around to it. I still plan to close shortly after March 1 but would like to get the Feb interest. I stopped my payroll DD in mid-Jan.

    • I’ve been using $10 push from Ally savings for close to 2 years. Never a problem. Also Amazon reloads of $.50 work for debit transactions.

    • They're super lax about DD requirement. Every kind of ACH transfer in I've seen works. Even doing a pull using their external transfer system works.
