My DP on opening. In VA, instant approval. The CC machine is broken - different browsers did not help. Pulls Chex each time you start to fill out the application. Not nice.

10/30: Applied from TX using online link from offer page (promo code XAKT-29ML was already populated). Went pending, but was approved via email half an hour later. Chex: 8/12, 5/6
Funding options for the $100 min. deposit included debit and credit funding up to $101, but neither option worked in my browser (resulted in a blank popup window) so I just went with external transfer via Plaid instant verification.
Only US Citizens can apply online.
Warning: looking at their fee schedule, I see that starting from July 1st 2023, they added a $3 fee for each external transfer initiated from their end via online banking or mobile app. Therefore, I do not recommend using their external transfer functionality.
Thanks for the info! External transfer fees gotta be one of the most annoying things banks do. Another reason pushing / pulling from a hub is almost always best.
Ameris bank seems to have a $300 checking bonus for $1,500 DD. Saw a post on FB, will try and leave the link as it seems you can’t find it on google. Maybe they haven’t added it to their main page yet? @chucksithe @will
I was approved online in FL, $100 min funding is required but I chose the "fund in branch" option which I then got an email saying I have 30 days to deposit the money. My DD should hit the acc next week, so I don't think funding is needed
