The Offer
Direct Link to offer (or find it on Slickdeals frontpage)
- Slickdeals is offering a $10 Target gift card when you add the Slickdeals Chrome browser extension and keep it for 30 days.
This deal works for existing Slickdeals account holders or for those who register now for a new Slickdeals account.
Our Verdict
Looks like this is an old deal, but we’ve never covered it. Seems you just need to download the extension and keep it for 30 days in order to be eligible, without any shopping requirement. If you aren’t really interested in the extension, I’d recommend downloading the extension on a device (or Chrome profile) that you don’t use to avoid the extension hijacking your portal rewards from a different portal.

Total scam. My in-laws never received the gift card. I figured they must have done something wrong, so I installed a brand new browser, didn't change any settings, and went to the page to install the extension.
They are telling me I didn't sign up using the correct link or that I used a VPN or ad blocker. All not true.
The one guy in this thread who claims they got it, must be a social media shill for slickdeals.
DP: installed extension by clicking red button on promotion page on 11/20. No gift card received. Sent e-mail to CS. Response: "After reviewing your account, our records indicated the extension was not installed via the promotion which has disqualified you from receiving the offer for the Target Gift Card."
I guess I will file a BBB complaint. Don't really care about the $10 GC, but businesses should be held accountable for this kind of unethical behavior. @guest_1520920

I got the same message from them, which is total BS...
@guest_1520515 , I agree and good luck. I installed on 11/28 so 30 days have passed. No gift card received here, either. The extra 7-10 days to credit will be up on 1/7 and I will contact CS then if still no card. After that, I will follow your path.

Got it today titled "Slickdeals Browser Extension Reward"
I don't see any confirmation or communication via email about the extension besides the reward email. This is my timeline:
11/21 Installed Chrome extension
11/21 Logged in with existing SD account
12/23 Received email "Slickdeals Browser Extension Reward"
@guest_1517755 , I would appreciate a timeline, too.
I see in the Terms and Conditions: "Once you download the Extension and keep it installed for 30 consecutive days, we will send a link to the email address registered with your Slickdeals account in approximately 7 to 10 days for you to redeem your prepaid gift card."
Was the reward email received 37-40 days from the date you installed the Slickdeals extension?
@guest_1517755 Can you give us a timeline? How long between installation and reward e-mail?
SD is one of the scummiest sites
Be warned, most of these 'deals' extensions they are full of privacy invading trackers. Slickdeals is owned by Goldman Sachs. SD has some of the stingiest cashback rates too. I won't even use their website without two adblockers.

I know a chick just like slickdeals.

Fixed thanks
Best of luck for this one...
I did this last time they had the offer and never saw the rewards after 30+ days.
Thanks for the data point. I've mostly sworn off "rebates" or anything after X amount of days unless there's many data points for easily and/or successfully getting the money by others; there's minimal repercussions for "scammy" companies these days smh
My recent "loss" was Paypal rewards... still no money back or % back myself lol
Can't believe retailers are still paying affiliate commissions on passive browser extensions like this.
That's because they are not. Like Paul above I installed it and then had to badger them for a month to get my card.
A lot of browser extensions track your online activities. It's in their terms and conditions that you MUST agree to use the extensions.
